  1. Ok, so do we get to know what he had, I'm guessing that as he never played before he probably had 88 or JJ and was overplaying them instead of letting you bet. If I were in your shoes, as you were well over chipped to him, and had your hand (nut flush) with the nut draw (str8 flush) if you hit the 9s I would have called for sure.So what was it, I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants to know.
  2. Frankly I think the only way to avoid bad beats of this kind on line is to not play .25/.50 limits. The flops may be created for more action, but for sure you have big fish that will always go to the river and the learner who may not know when he's beat.You have to take it in stride, and when you have nut str8 on the flop and the turn or the river pair or bring the flush just call so you don't loose all your money.
