In fact I feel exactly the same way. And I'm also trying to lay off the poker for a while (which is hard, since I have a gambling problem, and I have too much free time). Hopefully I'll last a week or two without poker.I also lack the discipline to stay within a BR, to play the games that I can't afford to play (money or skill-wise), and I lack this same discipline both in my life and work (I daytrade for a living, so it's pretty much the same). So I wish you the best of luck and hope the little trip away from poker will be good for you. I also understand what you mean about hating the grind. -
Hi,was wondering if anyone knew what poker room would be best for finding stud hi/lo sngs. I play on party once in a while, but the highest table that ever gets filled is 30+3, and it doesnt fill up that often to begin with. The payouts are 120/72/48 (coz there are only 8 ppl), which is really not worth my time, but I do enjoy stud hi/lo sngs. Suggestions therefore are welcome. Thanks

withdraws and deposits make for good/bad runs...

I withdrew 2k, and then had an unbelievable run of cards and dropped 4k. In NL I was always holding second best hand, in limit the fish would keep capping me and then catching rivers with their dominated hands. Then I put back 100 to fool around with and got an really good run of cards. Made back 150. Not quite 4k. I think this is true of party, but I don't know about other sites. I've had this happen (and a couple of my friends swear to it too) more than once. Also, I think party is inherently streaky (more so than the laws of poker would suggest I think), and the key is to realize as soon as -
10 minutes or so and 14 "replies"none to the original poker question of interestso Nikki, how many copies of pics and resumes do I need and who do I send them to?Marion, I'm a world traveller, I don't root for any "hometown teams" per se. I don't have a favorite hockey team. Perhaps you would like to have dinner and convince me to root for the leafs?

Hi,Been reading the forum for a while, only finally bothered to contribute. Noticed a couple of the regulars are from Cambridge/Boston. Me too.A lot of people on here seem to play the lower limits. I personally can be found playing on party at the 15/30 limit tables or the 5/10 1000NL tables. But regardless of the stakes it seems that most of us agree that the games are beatable. I was wondering what people thought about staking or being staked, to play online at some low limits (3/6 5/10) limit holdem, where the backer also gets the rakeback from signing the guy up under affiliate programs.
