  1. oh ya and for the post that asked if I could've made a side deal with the guy... well that was risky because there is no guarentee he would've actually gave me anything if I let him win it. Really I just wanted some kind of shirt or something to remember it by, but i didnt get anything, but np theres always other tournys.
  2. Alright guys i re-read my posts and your right I am an idiot lol. I just get that way sometimes because it was the night of the tourny and i got a little flustered. Anyway, it turns out it was REALLY a good experience. And i realize that I have plenty of time to try and win another of seat like that when I am 21. Thanks for the latest replies, they have been helpful and not really discouraging like some of the other comments. Anyways, thanks a great deal, and I think I learned a lot of experience with big tournys, I found it is a lot easier to build a big stack in because there is so many
  3. Thanks a lot guys for your last two posts. While I REALLY didn't think i had a shot at it, but it automatically registered me and i played it while i was already playing SNGs and stuff also. Then sooner or later i got into first place and to the final table, then final two... and ya. Well ya I am gonna stick to NON-satelit tournys now. Thank you for your advice guys.
  4. Oh thats what you meant by not doing my homework? That makes more sense, i thought you were making fun of me because I am a student so I have homework. Now I see. Anyways, I thought that I would be able to sell my seat or something (Well really I didn't think I could win it cause there were 1400 people) but I guess I couldn't sell it. Now had I put my account name as my dad's name instead of me I could've played it out and won it and he coulda gone.
  5. Taking his seat away from him? I outplayed him, he came into heads up with more chips and i dominated him. Anyway, what if "that guy" was a kid just like me? Seriously is there ANY friendly people on this site?
  6. I love it, your jealous because you didn't even know what poker was when you were a kid, and you don't even realize how dissapointing this is. I don't have a job, I make 5 dollars a week in allowance, I am pretty sure that tourny meant a lot to me.
  7. Are you serious? You think I am being a little jerk about it. Okay well now put yourself in my shoes. the most cash I have ever had in my wallet is around 250 dollars..... that tourny was for 10,000 seat + 2,000 spending money while i'm in Vegas. How about this one...... grinding it out playing really tight for 7 hours then hafting to throw the game? Before you say comments like that, think about what your saying.
  8. A online poker website automatically entered people into this freeroll if they met certain requirements (new player that had atleast 900 FPP points) I was one of them. There were 1,417 entrants, and the first prize was a seat at the WSOP. Well I made it to heads up play, and i had about a 3-1 chip lead on the guy and my dad told me I had to throw the game. Because due to my age, I wouldn't be able to go to the WSOP and then it wouldn't be fair to the other player. This SERIOUSLY KILLED me, I mean I had played for 6 and a half hours up to that point playing some good poker, and all of the
  9. Although this is not my post, I have learned a lot about the type of games and the way too handle them by your comments. Thank you for everyone who posted on this, and rounder.... I play a lot of home games and online, although I haven't made nearly that much (maybe 2k combined) but you should give your AIM to talk poker and stuff since we are both 16 and from what it seems ask the same questions. Anyway, anyone should AIM if they have a private tourny on FullTilt or just wanna talk poker. Thanks
  10. Dude i'm 16 too, I am wondering.... did they invite you or what because they usually don't let 16 year olds into big games like that. For all of you who say stuff like, "Watch out, it isn't like playing with your friends, there are shady characters around" well I know this is true.... but..... the games I play at, I see SO MUCH cheating going on, and nobody stops it, so i'm sure he has gone through this too... even my good friends will try to cheat me, but I have like a 6th sense of spotting cheating, maybe I am just really suspicious though. But ya... I have a question for anyone here that
  11. I heard someone talk about how much a waste of money the vorhaus books were but I thought they were the best poker books out there (until I read Harrington on Holdem) and I love the Zen book.
  12. I am trying to get this post to benefit a lot of players. Many people have read different books, and the similar books it is fun to see the diffrent oppinions of people. So if everyone could list their favrotte book and something or a lot of things you loved about it then please do so.I'll start I guess. i have read 12 hold'em books and 1 omaha book, but the best poker book I think I have read is Dan Harrington's: Harrington on Hold'em, a very respected player makes a very respected book. It discusses probably everything you would need to become a make-money player (of course with plenty o
  13. Yea I know it doesnt sound all that impressive, but if you look at the website and see the cashflow program then you are REALLY getting a good deal. I mean you get .50 a day for playing one raked hand, and the cashflow gives you a higher and higher percent of the rake you contribuited depending on how long you played that week, see site for more details (they deposit this every friday into your account, then its yours no raked hands required.) And I as a 16 year old played maybe 2 hours a day at LOW limits because obviously I can't afford a lot higher and I had a month where I made 45 dollar
  14. Alright i know you dont like me and i dont really like you, but please stop ruining my posts for no reason.
