I haven't done Bodog yet, but I just finished Paradise and the games were very soft. I normally play 1/2 but dropped down to .5/1, as most pots at that level are raked and get you a point. I would definitely recommend Paradise, especially for 9,000 PSO points.

Your PT stats look very similar to mine (my win rate was about 2.5BB/100), I did almost the exact same thing and started dabbling at 1/2. I used to think that aggression factor at the 3/4 range were crazy, but then I realized through playing that you need to be at that level to make $$. My win rate for July at 1/2 about 7K hands was over 3.5BB/100.I've been raising with a wider range of hands to isolate or take the leads in hands, like you mention. Also, been three-betting pre-flop for the same reasons. It also seemed to me that the .5/1 tables at Party tightened up after the 6-max tables

To track raked hands, go to cashier and click on bonus account. It will launch Internet Explorer to a Party website that shows you all of your pending bonuses and raked hand status. What I do is keep that window open while I play and refresh every so often to check my status.

I think Belterra is the closest game to you. They are advertising their poker room heavily here in the Cincinnati area; however, I don't know too much about specifics. I think it is closer to you than Caesars, though. -
canyou use your friend's accounts?

I did something similar on Party about a month ago. I opened my own account then opened an account for my wife using Refer-a-Friend. Party actually froze my wife's account until we called in to verify that she did in fact have a separate account that she played on. After that, the account was unfrozen and has worked fine ever since; I received the $50 refer-a-friend on my account and we've been playing along ever since.Your friend's account has to be separately funded however. If you try to fund from the same Neteller account, you will have problems. We have separate Neteller accounts to -
Heading to Phoenix next Monday - Wednesday and was looking for any information on games spread at the local casinos. I prefer mid-limit and tourneys. Any info on the quality of play also.

Not only can you sign-up your wife for a separate account, you can also get a $50 referral bonus on your account through their refer-a-friend program. Both my wife and I signed up about a month ago and we've been clearing bonuses ever since.

We cleared on both accounts already. I used that code first and I want to use "POKERACENOW" now but I can't deposit $500 now. According to bonuswhores.com, both codes are currently active.

I just tried to deposit $500 into my Party account using code "POKERACENOW" to get a 20% reload bonus. I got a message from the Party cashier stating that the maximum allowed deposit at present was $250 and that I should contact Pay-Pro to increase. Has this happened to anyone before? Are there monthly or other deposit limits? My wife and I each opened an account there two weeks ago and we've cleared about $350 in bonuses on one deposit of $150 and three deposits of $500 using the new account 30% bonus and the May reload bonus. As soon as we have met the raked hands requirement, we have cle

I just read SSHE and started playing limit about 6 weeks ago and it's definitely both. I read twice before starting and was frankly overwhelmed with all of the subtle concepts. What I first did was to focus on starting hands (I keep the book open when playing) and pot-odds, and counting outs while I was playing. As I got more comfortable, I re-read and I'm starting to implement more of the advanced stuff. You definitely have to play a lot to understand how and when to use everything detailed in SSHE.

Party Poker is offering a 30% bonus for opening a new account and a first deposit. You have to play 7 raked hands (doesn't matter if you bet into the pot) for every $1 in bonus cash and it's pretty easy to clear at the .5/1 limit tables, which aren't too hard to beat. I've opened accounts for both my wife and me in the past week, I already cleared my bonus and am working on my wife's for the full maximum bonus. Use the code "EXTRA30".

I think Chuckf is right on, but the one question that seems to be outstanding is where do you want to be in the next 6-12 months and longer? Based on where you are now, the investment doesn't seem to make sense from either a business or personal standpoint. However, is part of the interest the fact that you may want to move up dramatically given your past success?

Is VP$IP the % of people to see the flop? I've seen a number of times posted but wasn't exactly sure what it meant. If so, how do you locate this on Party? On the main page of games, I only saw the number of players and the average pot.

With $50, .05/.10 at Pokerstars is definitely the way to go. I started there to learn primarily starting hand requirements (see SSHE) and aggression. I have found that the .25/.50 Pokerstars game is much tighter and different, so be ready when you move up.I just started .50/1 at Party last night and I found the game much looser than .25/.50 or .50/1 at Pokerstars, but get your bankroll to 300 BB to handle the variance.Has anyone else had the same experience with Party? I couldn't believe how loose the game was! Was that just random or is that normal (i.e., calling to the river with A high

I've been playing 0.25/0.50 limit 2-4 tables on Pokerstars and making 3-4BB/100 over about 5K hands. I've seen a couple of significant downswings (-12BB/100), primarily when I go up to 3-4 tables and have action on several at once - I found that I just get overloaded and I don't like it. I was thinking about moving up to 0.50/1.00 for only 1-2 tables. From a number of posts here, I get the impression that the Party .50/1 games are pretty loose and I was thinking of setting up an account there. I was going to deposit $150 to get the 30% first deposit bonus. Could anyone offer any advice if t
