  1. I have a question regarding how often you should defend your big blind in a limit holdem game. I think that this is the position in which I lose the most money as I play generally tight from other positions. For example, should I complete against an early posn raiser (who would raise with hands like AK, AQ, KQ as well as big pocket pairs) with J9s when folded around to me. If I play this hand and flop top pair, should I bet it and lay it down to a re-raise, check and call or play it to the river if no overcards come?

Can any of you guys give me some advice on playing this hand (QJ), I've had two bad beats with it recently after limping in pre-flop.Most recent example, I limp in pre-flop with it, flop comes: AQJ rainbow.I bet 2xpot and get 1 caller.Turn comes 4. I bet again (not sure if it's the right play, but hoping not to let opponent draw at the straight for free). He calls again and river comes 2. At this stage my opponent only has a small amount of cash left at the table, so i put him all-in and he turns over the nut straight (KT).Should I have bet here?
