  1. Hey, I don't post much, mainly lurk and read content, but I am somewhat close to the TO area and would be interested in coming down for one of these games sometime if possible. It would probably be either the Tues. or Thursday game, please let me know if this would be alright, have been looking for regular games for a while, not so much around here in the way of cash games.Jeremy
  2. As for the reefer, I am working on my medicinal license, but they really dont like approving a 22 year old male for medicinal marijuana, as they assume I'd be selling it or not using it correctly.Unfortunately I did the instantbankroll over a year ago hehe, how I got started with my roll originally.Any others you guys have come across? Although I potentially have an account on a lot of poker sites, so it may not be possible to do the promotions.Jeremy
  3. Heh, I know it seems like by the post that I am quite unhealthy at this point, but I feel better than I have ever felt in my life, but am unable to work due to doctors orders, and due to an upcoming surgery planned for october. And all I can do to further my recovery is eat. (I know that sounds odd, but really thats they key thing right now is building my weight up to a manageable point.)One poster has PM'd me a very intriguing idea that I will be trying to employ on a regular basis to see if it helps me not only at the poker tables but in my recovery as well.
  4. I appreciate all the responses so far. Yes, it is all true, and even somewhat worse than what I described, because really theres only so much you guys need to hear. :)As for the lawsuit, It is just beginning, and will be ongoing for quite some time as there are many aspects of my care than need to be looked at, but yes hopefully it will work out in my favor although I can't see how it wouldnt really.I do manage to get out and hang with friends quite a bit, but I live quite out in the country, and also suffer from insomnia, so I don't really sleep, and this leaves me with a lot of time on my h
  5. Thanks to the one poster who acutally decided to add something useful, as opposed to retarded and random. Why bother coming here and posting your useless comment if you didnt read it??To up your useless post count? "+1" so to speak? I know id rather just have you move on after you saw it was a long post than add a 5 word comment entirely unrelated. As for the healthy thing, I am healthier right now that I have been since I became sick in the first place, but am unable to work due to a colostomy bag attached to my abdomen. And obviously becoming a professional will take a looong time heh. Id m
  6. Ok, i'll start this off by saying its going to be a very longwinded and fairly useless post for those of you looking for actual game related content, but may be applicable in a psychological aspect of the game and what it can do to you.I have only posted on here a couple times, and all of those were last year, but I have been lurking and reading almost every day since then with some exceptions, I was fortunate to get into the VIP thing in toronto and meet DN last year as well, it was a great experience.I have been playing online poker seriously for about 3 years, and in that time I have not ha
  7. Im in as well, currently 3rd as Apocalyptica...Good Luck!
  8. Ok well, the table pretty much broke up and im done. Stood up at $1006, +$756 on the session..Amazing rush for me, going to take a break for a while though. Thanks for the support!
  9. Yeah I know its way more than I should be playing... Happens to me when I have a losing bit at a limit I feel I should beat, Cant say for sure if ill be diving back into 5/10 again anytime soon after Im done here...But, We'll see, Up to 1k now!
  10. Hey everyone,Had a bit of a bad day today was down $200, which put my roll at about $475, and so I thought Id go play a session of 5/10 single table with $250...After about 75 minutes I was down to $36, and pretty pissed, but I kept getting cards and battled back to around my original buy in.Now its been about 90 minutes after that and im up to just over 800... Table 26046 (6 max) on PartyName is ApokalypticPretty Intense game!!
  11. I deposited $100 into GamesGrid a couple days ago from Netteller, No problems at all, got my $$ instantly, and the $1000 bonus dollars are waiting to be unlocked ever so slowly hehe. Not too much action on the site as of yet, but still decent clearing if you play a couple tables.
  12. I'm sure all of you out there have made a play that was against the odds, simply because it FELT right or wrong. Granted statistically if you make the 'correct' play hundreds or thousands of times in the same situation, You will end up on top in the long run. But, That doesn't do anything for you in that moment, that instant in time where your gut tells you that you should stay away from this one. Would I have laid down the Aces? No, probably not, but as I read through the post, I just see everyone telling him that statistically its the right play, I don't think he ever doubted that? He kn
  13. Probably not a lot of Jeopardy in England.....I have the same problem with finding I have to move up in stakes or it just doesn't feel like I'm winning the same as I was when the BR was smaller. You just have to keep yourself in check, don't move up too fast or it will cost you alot of money as opposed to making it.
  14. I found myself doing the same thing when I was doing well in the $50's, I moved up and tried a $200 one, got cleaned on a good hand. You should just stick to what's been working.A side note I think I remember playing against you in said $50 tourneys if your name is indeed RISINGSHARK on there (seems like it would be).My handle is Apokz...
  15. Hey all, This is my first post, but ive been reading the forum for a couple weeks. In response to this question I signed up for instant bankroll and received my $75 about 2 days ago. I started playing $25 NL tables until I had about $200 then I played $50 SnG, this seems risky, but I have found the players there to be pretty poor. I consider myself to be a decent player, I play about once a week in a home game, Usually place 1st or 2nd, and I finish up $ 65% of the time at the Casino (playing 2/5).Ive played 8 $50 SnG's so far, only finished out of the money once, and I have 3 wins. I lost $
