interesting situation.........what would you do
StB replied to GhostfaceKillah's topic in General Poker Forum
I would say it is an easy fold. Take your chances in the big blind. More players may want to see a flop. Your hand could have more players seeing a flop, thus giving you a better chance to chip up. -
If players are blatantly cheating (according to you) and the site does nothing to investigate your claims, they are basically condoning it. Why haven't you gotten your money out by now?Ridiculous. Have you checked their rules regarding cheating? If they have none, you should be redeeming now!

He is in the big blind. Flop hits him well. What else is there to do?I would have layed into the guy for being such an idiot.

He probably jumped off that sinking ship.

It is funny. Sometimes when I play very aggressively, betting out every hand, I get accused of cheating when I fold to a re-raise. They never take into account the fact I may be bluffing, or the other player has read my style of play.I have been told I will be reported but nothing ever happens of it. In each case I have no clue who the other person was, though they did live in the same state.

Not necessarily. They are not a company based in the US nor are they looking to be listed in the US. There already is an online book making company public on the London Stock Exchange. It is a non-event to the US government. The only impact it could have is to highlight how much money they are truly making. Then watch the bubble burst. There would be a flood of newer sites looking to cash in by either players or being bought out. Bonus whores would probably the ones to get screwed if anyone.

Being an MVP does not make you the best player, just the most valuable to your team. And if you believe the Vandjagt is the best kicker, stick to the CFL. There is someone up in New England that is much better.

inside straight draws myths? (check my maths)

I find it amusing that everyone railed on you and not the idiot with the aces. He should look at the board and figure out why you are capping. He sure didn't have the nuts and shoould realize that you made your straight. I am glad he paid you off. -
How is that a racial issue? Because it is a stupid song?Do you know Vince Van Patten personally and can back up such a comment?Sounds like someone is way too sensitive. I guess if you don't like something, it is going to be racism. Chill out.

Well, just for your edification, the big game refers to the 4k/8k blinds mixed game. Refer to the Andy game as The Challenge or Conquest of the Corporation (ok, I just made that up!)...My edification? The Big Game has always been the Beal game. The other is just another nightly game. Do some reasearch.http://www.cardplayer.com/poker_magazine/a...4268&m_id=65546

I don't think he was involved in the Big Game.Yes, he plays occasionally in the Big Game (4K/8K mixed with Brunson, Reese, Ivey, Hansen, Greenstein, etc.)I thought you meant THE Big Game. As in vs Andy Beal. From what I have seen DN doesn't play that one. He would be good going up against AB.

I think he has stopped taking his meds again.

Slow playing big pairs can be profitable in tourneys (as many have shown). IN the example you give, both players played it wrong. You want to trap the player preflop, not give them a chance to see cards. Once you raised, they should be re-raising you preflop.

I think you played the hand well. Even if you had gotten just a piece of the flop, you could have raised him back (not on a 10xs bet mind you) and tried to steal the pot. You could have shown those cards to set the guy up for the next hand.Plus you have to love it when a player goes off screaming about "how the pros" would play a certain hand. Guess they have never seen Gus Hansen play.
