  1. 10-9suited. has the best odds against aces than any other hand, makes 4 nut straights and the obvious flushability.
  2. are you forgetting all the WPT final tables be made, and the ones he won?
  3. i'm watching him now. yes, he is bitching alot as expected.frankly, he's getting run over. when i first went on, he was on about $18k, got down to about 10k, went all in and lost. rebought for $2 about 4 times since then and keeps losing it.
  4. I generally don't say anything. I dont really say much at the poker table anyway, so just usually sit back in my chair, sign, and nod at the other player.
  5. Harringtons books are both all tournament poker Super System I is all cash. Not sure about SS2, havnt read it yet.
  6. I pick up QQ in Late position, raise 3-4time big blind, get one caller.Flop comes: Q A x. Maybe the best possible flop for me given the situation, since anyone having an A gives me the opportunity to win a decent sized pot.Checks to me, i bet about the size of the pot. He flat calls.Turn is a K, checks to me again, i bet about the size of the pot again. He flat calls.River is a 10. It checks to me again. I go all in with not much left. He calls.what does he turn over? jack 6 for a ****ing straight! runner ruuner!I challenge you to find a worse play that that.
  7. as you said, you put your money in getting the best of it, cant do more than that. its always nice to win but look at is this way, from your 2nd place finish you have covered many many buy-ins into more MTT to get your first win! :-) hehe
  8. i'm having the same problem with Victor Chandler, perhaps on the same server or something.
  9. i just stack my chips stacks in like 2000 chip stacks, no need to get fancy, its just easier if you keep your chips already counted out into certain denominations, so you can just push chips into the middle instead of counting them out all the time. When i can however, i will build a castle like raymer had at the WSOP05, although, i dont even OWN that many chips to use at my home games!
  10. that is pretty bad, i saw a damn bad one on season 3 of the WPT, by paul phillips.I totally cant remember what the action was exactly but..it was in the final table where he and TJ Cloutier were monster chip leaders all the way through, if that joggs anyones memory.well anyway, someone went all in on the river and he called with a jack high, he wasnt pot commited, he wasnt short stacked, but if he called and lost he was crippled. the guy who went all in was looking anything but weak.maybe someone else with a better memory than me can tell the story of what happend?
  11. "no professional would raise there"
  12. ok maybe a "bad beat" was the wrong term. more of getting skrewed over by dumb probabilities on the turn and getting beaten by the better hand. but still, a bad beat in its own right. 95% in my favor on the flop.
  13. Just got the worst bad beat of my life at a home game, not major money, but a reasonable ammount to me....i bought in for £15 (cash game) got up to about £25, then get dealt....8c 8h on the buttonJust call the big blind, figuring that any overcard on the board could skrew me over, only the big blind stays in the hand. heads up. flop comes down 8s 4d 2sso im jazzing, have the nuts on the flop. it gets checked to me, i raise about £4 so not to force them out. i get called. at this point i put them on a flush draw. turn comes down: 4sIm now jazzing even more, top full house, eights over fours, t
