Heres the real question.... why bother playin a tourney ( other than WSOP) at all if you're a pro with a large bankroll. If you can win or lose 200,000 ( not to mention 1.3 million) in a single night, why invest the time into a three to four day event to maybe win that much money. I understand the prestige and pride of winning a big WPT etc event, but why put in that effort when you can win way more money playing cash games? There's travel costs, life stress etc. plus if you win three or four big tourneys over the course of a year, that's a great year. You can make Negreaneau's 2004 winnings
