"Table Stakes" refers to a game in which you have to pay whatever the bet even if you dont have it - you can rebuy/reload during a hand in order to continue......If you decide not too - your hand is dead/folded.....ie. If I have $1500.00 and you have $1000.00 and I bet the $15oo - then you have to rebuy at least $500 to continue.....Or something like that.....anyways, table stakes refers to a rule on the rebuys rather than a betting rule.

Oh man, so true.....Its bizarre....great players and absolute idiots who talk smack non stop.....its like there is NO middle ground at full tilt....I played there for awhile and I liked it - but the amount of jerks I ran into was mind boggling and pretty much had to leave....The reason its so noticeable is the small amount of players - making the moron factor much more pronounced....agree the ratio is extremely unbalanced moreso than ANY poker site.....They need to police it before it kills them, IMO....

you did the right thing....if its that tight - you are beat....It wouldnt seem unreasonable someone is holding AQ.....They would have check as well on the flop, IMO......hoping to trap like you were.....

Regarding Full Tilt & ProsThe pros have avatars that are caricatures of themselves - clearly they are srtistic renditions of the pros themselves.....The site locks their postiion at their designated room and the room appears in red alerting you a pro is indeed playing....Full Tilt clearly represents them as pros....So, if for some reason it is not - they would certainly be in voilation of some sort fraudulent behavior and highly doubt they would do such a thing....The setup with the Pros at full tilt is very good and special....The software is the fastest & the best of ANY online site,

Actually, for the most part I think I am playing against players who have beta versions of the software - a version that doesnt have a "fold" option....

Didnt the little bit about the new "hotshot kid" on the block who played online poker with multiple monitors parallel the Scott Fischman expose during the WSOP....Seemed like a parody on Fischman to me.......I got a chuckle anyways......

I agree with this in alot of respects.....You are not playing the board - you playing the other players(s)......You cant just cower cuz a K comes on the flop....If someone is raising you - then its different....Players betting & responses to your bets are FAR more important than the board itself.

In addition to the strong vs weak.....Trapping is usually only successful against aggresive players.....Passive players & calling stations cant really be "trapped"......So trapping is dynamic, you have to know the players, the table & situation....etc..

In a *good* videogame you can actually practice playing "straight up" tournament poker something that simply will never happen in the world of internet play-money poker.....I think its a great idea for those of us who like to play the game but really dont thrive on the "playing for cash" aspect....The only issue with stacked is it wont be the same seeing Daniel not wearing Hockey Jersey - but that whole licensing thing easily prevents that from happening......A generic one would have been cool though.....something just for the feel....I will buy it - either PC or XBOX.....

I think I am gonna buy the book.....I really having trouble getting to sleep at night and if the book is anything like his post - then this will be one of the best drug-free sleep aids I have ever run across....!!

I agree with this assesment....CallI dont position is important here as regardless of the flop - you are best served checking after the flop - either getting away from the hand, or if you hit the set - check raising.......You can setup a steal as well by calling a small bet with rags on the table......All in all, I dont think position is a big deal with a hand already made....
