  1. Hi everyone, just thought I should pass on some advice for anyone who is stuck trying to figure out how to report poker on their taxes. On Federal taxes gambling losses are deductable from gambling winnings this is not alway the case for state taxes, at least not in Michigan where I am filing. Initially I had planned on reporting just the net profit, but gambling sessions are required to be itemized. First I tried using (Cash-out- Buyin) but that gave me total cashouts exceeding 250K and buyins around 235k. Since I would not be able to deduct buyins from cashouts the state income tax bill
  2. did anyone else notice DN's feet did not reach the floor from his chair?
  3. I can see why the guy bluffing the str8 flush would turn over his hand after the other guy folds. But how could you know what the player with quads showing had down? They obviously do not affect his hand rank, doesn't seem like he would turn them over.
  4. I had to stop using firepay for some reason I think my bank didn't like it anymore. I've never had a problem with netteller
  5. I played with a drunk lady at a casino back when I was in college. It was only a 2-6 stud game, but she managed to lose at least 700 and counting when I left after 10 hours. I was catching great cards that day and finished up over $500 bucks. Which was enough with what I had saved to buy a computer which got me playing even more. If I met her again I'd think about giving the money back....Then I'd play her for it.
  6. And if a player does have one of them did you adjust the odds that the remaining players would be less likely to?

  9. If you are making enough money playing poker to make it worth hiding. Hire somone to help. I will hide your money in my bank account.
  10. but if the nut high is a q high straight... there is a low
  11. with the board QT5 your only nut out is the 8, and if you end the hand with the nut str8 as you did there will always be a low possible, maybe even a backdoor flush. As a rule you don't want to play for half the pot especially from early position. It looks like a check and fold hand to me.
  12. It does suck that they started adding pop ups. I always have a problem getting auto seated in multi table tournaments if I'm playing on any other tables.
