  1. Its limit . . NL its a much easier play.DevTrue NL it's an easier play...I still raise it in limit as well....
  2. I would raise as well...If you limp in you gain no information about the other hands. Your on the button so your in the best spot. I would raise three times the Big Blind, because at this point you could take the pot right then or increase your odds by forcing people out. Either way it's a win win for you...
  3. Ok if I put 3k in, which is half my chip stack and he raise all in don't I have to call because I will be committed to the pot?
  4. Yeah I see what your saying...I think I pulled a rook misstake..I read Dan Harringtons' book and he writes about not putting your life on the line. And that is what I did. I should have put a bet out there, but not all in. I actually thought he had top pair, but not a flush. Now what if I put a bet out there and he went all in?
  5. I posted last time about a situation I was in during a tournament a few days ago and everyon was nice enough to give me feed back. Most of the feed back was bad move stupid, but never the less. Here is another situation I was in and it happen last night in another tournament. What you have done:Blinds 800/40010 at the table.Everyone folds to the dealer...The dealer calls..I'm in the SB and I call with a Jack (clubs) 9 (hearts). I normally would have folded this, but I just finished a table and was added to this table and I wanted to get some info from the player on my left (BB).Dealer chips:
  6. Ok, I get it was a bad decision. It's a learning process. ...
  7. I'm still a little on tilt about this move and I'm not sure I made the right decision. I need some advice because I'm playing in an even bigger torument tonight.Table of nine playersBlinds are 25/50sb - 25bb - 503rd - folds4th - folds5th - calls me - call w/ A8 off suite6th - folds7th - calls8 th - folds9th callsthe sb calls and the bb goes all in. He is short stack on the table. I don't have a good read on him but I put him on a high card with a low kicker....I took me time, but decide to call (I had him covered in chips but not by much). Everyone else folds...He turns over A3 off suite..
  8. Read some other posting and decided to purchase "Theory of Poker". I will let people know what I think. Harrinton's book improved my game greatly and hope "Theory of Poker" will do the same.thanks
  9. I have been playing poker for a year now. I just finish my first poker book, Harrington on Hold'em, and I loved it. I usually play toruments of NL and PL hold'em. I am looking for another book to read to improve my game. Also does anyone know when Daniel's book will be out? Thanks
