Who won?I know it wasn't me. I am always felled by the urge to gamble right before making a final table. -

I'll play tonight. But warning, I'm sick-n-cranky so I will probably put you all in while holding sh** just to double up. So you should definately call me. -
I will be in NOLA on Sunday nights a few times over the next couple of months. Can anyone enlighten me on the games going there and how they play? I've played there ONE time before - but that was when I was still a little fishy. My gut says it's probably a lot of regulars and grinders.

At a restaurant during a business meeting! I was with another coworker - waiting on the 3rd and 4th to show up. I happened to have a deck of cards so I began teaching her how to play hold em. . .Waiter comes up - offering us all kinds of advice everytime he walks by. Bragging about his home game (that they never got around to playing for REAL money) and thought he would teach us. I tried to tell him yea yea, I know how to play - give all the "go away" body language etc. . .He would not be deterred!I sit back all quiet, as he was obviously trying to impress my more attractive co-worke

The player who realizes that their relative standing in the tournament is the same if they fold - and wants to make more profit over time. The need to "double up to win" is best realized long before the bubble. If you get to the bubble and ONE hand pops or make bling - you're stuck with your position and how you managed time prior to that hand.

Along the lines of improvement. . .Although I'm a NL player, when I feel I'm getting stagnant - or not growing etc, I will play limit games with the sole purpose of "practicing" pot odds. I think deliberatly taking a break from your preferred method brings a good context for 1) humility and 2) the rote practice of fundamentals. One area I'm having trouble progressing on is playing those middle hands KT, KQ, QJ etc. My plan is to drop back a level (or two) and play by theory until I get comfortable with playing those two cards in enough rounds to have a good gut reaction on playing the

I agree - and the sites that are harder to deposit on are at a disadvantage over sites with easier deposit options.Glad to hear PM is working the system! Are they going to be launching a significant marketing campaign?Cheers -

think internet poker is rigged? interesting fact

The issue isn't that on-line isn't 100% perfectly random. The difference is live-deal is NOT random. If you play multi- hrs at a live game there are numerous factors that bring order and predictibility to the deck. If you are playing with the same players in the same seats for multiple hrs, the rundown of what falls will vary significantly from a true random deal. Each live game you play, really does have its own particular statistics when you extrapolate it out to 10K+ hands. Those statistics vary from the pure statistics of random. The lack of this "particualar game feel" is missing in -
lol. Who sent you? Warhol? Wrto? Wilderness?Nobody sent, I'm just always looking for a good game - and I particularly enjoy games that have players like yourself.

You know J Farrel - we both are in Houston. I'd love the chance to learn from you in a real game. What live games do you frequent?

I was able to do it - same way you did. I moved money from another site - but there was a couple days lag. However, in order to attract (and steal market share) new players, they need to address the need for immediate gratification. When on any of the other major sites - I can deposit from a CC with no fee's, it's a considerable disadvantage. It doesn't matter that it CAN be done, what matters is can it be done in the easiest way possible? It's the same as giving someone a free card. Do you really want to give that new customer any reason at all to go to the competition? I suspe -

If the rumors are true and PM is about to embark on a marketing campaign - then I would like to advise them to make depositing easier! I could go in to all the reasons, call it consulting - and then be able to write off poker as an expenses on my taxes. But I think I'll just whine here for a while instead.I found it extremely frustrating - and just hopped back over to PS where I had the roll and the games were aplenty. -
I get sucked in during holidays, when lots of people are taking off so they don't lose their vacation/sick time. I find myself d/ling the software then playing for an hr or so till the panic sets in. I will then uninstall it, and SWEAR I won't do that again - that is until the next a.m. when I realize I'm the Sr. employee and there are only a few peons running about.I realized I might have an issue when I locked my door and put on my headset to look like I was on an important call. There is NO DOUBT I would be fired if "caught". Hmmm, now I've got the itch. I can't wait for the holida
