I'm watching Baseball again for the first time in like 15 years. I turned my back on the cubs after the ricketts family bought them and ruined wrigley (and my state). I didn't even enjoy their world series as I just didn't care. But last post season I started dipping my toes, and I was watching the Mariners-detroit game, the one that went to 15 innings. Somewhere around inning 11, I realized I was rooting for the Mariners, so I was in. I rooted for them the rest of the playoffs, and I got the MLB Mariners package and have been watching them this season. So, for the first time in at least 15

I don't know what you mean by "modern day bullshit" other than the existence of black people in the show. On second thought, that's exactly what you mean. Apple has the best original shows right now. You should consider getting it, for E Pluribus and The Studio alone. Probably the two best shows I watched last year.

I still listen to some sports podcasts. Less and less of Dan but I still do listen. Most of my rooting interest now is Liverpool and the Bears, though I've adopted the mariners out of left field last season during the playoffs, watching that amazing extra inning game, so I listen to a random Seattle sports podcast ( though Kevin Pelton just got a WNBA front office job so that podcast might be over) and a couple liverpool pods.

I wish this place was still popping so I could make fun of Foundation and that lord of the rings show. Both are kind of hilarious hate watches in different ways. Foundation isn't even exactly a hate watch, it's just such a weird, weird interpretation of the source material (Which I've read on the insistence of my father, and found incredibly boring. I dunno how I'd find it now, but I'd bet still boring) Both shows are fascinating on how much money they are shooting into space to make these epic shows that are just wildly bad. I have seen it and i really enjoyed it. Much, much better than Dance of Dragons, which reminds me of the Dune show in that it's a completely humorless dirge of a show that looks pretty good

I really wish I'd seen the brutalist in theater in as big of screen as possible because it's shot beautifully. It's a very long story, and not exactly an uplifting tale but it is superbly written and acted and looks gorgeous. I can't get over it, I've been thinking about it all day.
