As a new member to this site, and a new member to the poker world, I have seen a limited number of bad beats; though they are everfresh in my memory. They include such stories of catching the 2-outer on the river, hitting runner runner for the flush, etc. However, I think these are the stories that add to the flavour, and make poker one of the best games on earth because of its unreliability. If aces were going to win every hand, which some argue they should (including myself, from time to time :-) ), poker wouldn't be as fun to play or to watch.
