Congrats. I was the first one out at the FT...first hand. Nice playing with you.

While I understand that everyone wants to buy into everything that Daniel says, I think we need to set the record straight. There is NOT ONE chicken in this entire country (US) that is injected with hormones. It is illegal. NONE! Are they given antibiotics? Yes. Not hormones. And if you think they are the same thing, you need to do a little more homework. I like DN as much as the next guy, but his information is thoroughly inaccurate here.

From pokernewsdaily.com, interesting storyhttp://www.pokernewsdaily.com/Did DN just hit the motherlode by getting involved at the right time...or another potential troubled poker site?

Many times you end up typing something that isn't necessarily what you would say. In this case, the words "Oh My God" came out of my mouth as I watched him scoop the pot. Then the expletives starting coming. Abby17

The poor sap that had quad aces was none other than ME. I looked back to see if I have ever had another hand that would have qualified for a bad beat jackpot and this was the first in over 100,000 hands. I was so stunned to see the royal. Given the flop...I thought a flush was possible and then seeing the King on the turn to give me a big ol boat...I felt great. Then with it being capped, the thought of quad K's crossed my mind. Then the beautiful A on the river and I am counting my money getting ready to collect. Good thing there wasn't unlimited raises.Abby17

As someone who was the giver of one of the bad beats (middle pair spiking trips vs top pair), I will look to donate on the 25th. I want revenge on bounce. Three handed...losing with a str8 vs a boat...ouch!! I had my eyes on the prize. It is a fun tourney...hope we get more than 14. Also, given that we have 6 days to sign up...there should be NO REASON that anyone says "Damn...missed it by 2 minutes." Sign up now.Abby17 -
Agree with Kendren. If you lose with the second nut flush, so be it. I, for one, like the PFR. You can usually gain the advantage for the hand with it. It should get you HU which is also good.I don't think you screwed it up bad...just probably lost one bet.Mac

I don't think I like your line on any street with the exception of the river given you lack of reads. I think this only works if you have a definate aggressive read on button here.Pre flop: Raise. You have AQ...get rid of the marginal junk.Flop: Cap it. Are you really putting him on a better hand that AQ? Get him committed to his lower A.Turn: Since you didn't cap on the flop, I guess I can live with calling this down, but if you really think you AQ is good (which you obviously due from your river bet), raise him here. River: If you really feel you are best here, you could have gotten an

You are not getting the same odds for extra bets as the odds you have on the first bet on the flop. For bet 1 on the flop, you are getting 20:1 by the time it comes to you to call. If you raise here and assume everyone comes along, you are getting 14:1...not enough to chase your 22:1 shot. Once you turn the gut shot to go with your 2 outs, you will be priced in no matter what. So, IMO, no raise here...you are just getting enough by calling to keep playing this.Mac

Definate raise pre flop. Very few bad things can happen when raising on the button vs one player. Unless you have a specific read that he will slow play monsters, you will win any flop that either hits you or doesn't hit him. In this specific case, I would venture to guess you have the best hand.

Agreed completely...to take it a step further, the jump to $2/4 also will not change anything. I think the jump to $3/6 is the first meaningful difference in strategy. Just as many bad players, but they are mostly aggressive bad players. At $.50/1 and $1/2 and $2/4...there are so many calling stations. If you are successful at $.50/1, you won't have any problems at $1/2.Good LuckMac

Once the Ace shows up, I think you have to bet the turn. He pumped the pot pre flop and then didn't take the opportunity to raise on the flop. While he might start to slow play AA or KK here...this is still $2/4. I think he has JJ and is scared you have KK on the flop and then once the Ace comes, and you don't bet (that tells him you don't have AA either), he realizes his set of J's is good.Just My $0.02.Mac
