  1. So bmw, because you talked to DN via email, you are absolutely certain that most pros don't play no limit eh?Well, if thats your belief, you are not only wrong, but sadly naive. One pro does not the profession make. One table at one casino is not the entire poker world. I am a professional, and all I play is no limit cash games and tournaments. In my area, there are three casinos, and the best players are all playing the no limit cash games, not the limit games. Perhaps in your area every single pro plays only limit. However, I find that extremely hard to believe. I am very aware that m
  2. "$400 a month?? I'm only 19 but i make more than that playing 3/6 online. On any given night where I am playing DECENTLY, I profit 200+. Sometimes the cards are just mean to me postflop, but even then i make enough to cover the costs. Limit hold'em is the moneymaker. All pros profit day to day playing limit and you should learn to master it. $400 a month is cake."First off, the guy said he is playing at lower limits than 3/6, so of course he would make less than you playing at a lower level. Secondly, I completely disagree with your statement about limit holdem. Personally, I can't stand li
  3. Did you get these cards or were they dealt to anyone at the table? If it's the former, I don't believe you.If it's the latter, it's not that amazing of a run.If you play a lot of poker, youve seen runs like this before. So I'm not really sure what's not to believe. I've been dealt pocket aces back to back several times. Ive cashed in every SNG I've played in an entire 16 hour session. I've won 25x the buy-in in a NL cash game in 12 hours. I've lost to completely horrible players for two weeks straight and in that time taken seemingly nearly every possible bad beat scenario. What many peop
  4. I recently moved to the Detroit area (Farmington Hills to be specific) and I was wondering if anyone on the forum would like to get a regular game together? I'm up for cash games or tournaments, any poker game, but I prefer either stud or holdem. Get ahold of me on yahoo or instant message me on here. Lets get a game together, have some fun, and work on our games! I've got a large nice chip set and a table that will comfortably seat eight. My fiance and I both are avid poker players so bring your significant other if you like. I hope to hear from some of you soon!
  5. I saw your post and couldn't help but chuckle to myself... I was playing in a NL SNG the other day online and I was dealt A A ; two red aces, my favorite hand. A short stack who acted before me went allin and I reraised. An early postion limper called and the flop was A 10 9 I bet the other caller allin being aware of all the possible draws out there. He thinks forever and folds and the turn was the J giving the short stack the nut straight with KQ. The river was no help and the short stack robbed my aces. We've all had bad beats like this and when you are running bad (like me la
