  1. Yeah, I totally agree that in HU playing the opponent’s tendencies is the way to go. In my original hand example though it was hand number 3 against an unknown opponent, which makes it a lot tougher.
  2. Actually, when I have a 2 to 1 chip lead I'm happy to get the money in as a slight favourite or even a coin toss pre flop. Since I play turbos, the blinds increases quite fast and if I let my opponent, especially an overly aggressive opponent, steal too much, I will be back to 1 to 1 in chips before I know it. If I get the money in with a solid hand with 2 to 1 in chips, I either win the match, or is down in chips, but no matter the outcome I can't be eliminated and am comfortable playing as a short stack. So with ATo and 2 to 1 in chips, I would almost always call a push pre against an aggro
  3. This topic has been quiet for a while, but I feel that the original concerns that were raised are still valid. I have decided to cancel my membership to PokerVT, at least for a couple of months. I attach the feedback that I sent to the PokerVT team in the cancel process below. The reason that I post it here as well is because it might influence the PokerVT team and the pros more strongly if other people agree with my concerns, and hence create stronger incentive to make the necessary changes."I feel that there is way too much focus on "talk stuff", such as hints, tips, Q&A:s, etc. and way
  4. Yeah, that tight range is mainly for the first two levels (15/30 and 20/40) since I like potatoman is not a fan of building pots early in the sng from OOP. And against good thinking players it will soon be easy to play against that strategy, but I'm doing hardcore game selection HU so I think I might get away with it at those limits.
  5. Thanks for the replies, guys! After the match I really felt like a 3-bet all in on the flop might be the best move against alot of opponents, but since I then knew what my opponent had, I figured my reasoning might be result oriented. So I'm glad to see that Adam agrees with that line. My opponent had A6o, turned trips and checked them behind on the turn in an attempt to be sneaky (which worked out for him). I see your point Potatoman about not building big pots OOP early in the sng. Currently, my range for raising an early limp is something like 77+ and AK, maybe AQ. Despite the risks, I just
  6. I don't know if this forum can also be used by PokerVT members to discuss hand histories, but I'll give it a try anyways. This was an interesting hand from a $55 heads up SnG I played this morning. Since this was hand number 3, I knew litteraly nothing about my opponent. Full Tilt Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t30 (2 handed) Button (t1485)Hero (t1515)Preflop: Hero is BB with 9[], 9[]. Button calls t15, Hero raises to t120, Button calls t90.Here I raise his limp 4x from the bb. Since I will play out of position if he calls, I consider 4x to be the minimum raise here.Flop: (t240
  7. Can you please remove the auto loggoff feature, or at the least extend the timer considerably. I like to watch PokerVT in between my HU SnG's, and it is annoying that everytime I return to PokerVT and finish the clip, I need to go back to "Home", log in again, go to the right section, find the right player, find the right course, find the right lesson. At the very least I would like a 30 minute timer before one gets logged off, and preferably remove the auto loggoff completely.
  8. To be honest, my concern about the lack of new content is growing. I'm not at the point of calling it quits, as Paul said, they are only two months old. I will probably give them a few more months to get it flowing. But it gets a little frustrating that the updates are spaced out so far between and not containing enough of what perhaps the majority find the most interesting: Daniel and the other pros playing online sessions/replaying their online sessions. The Q&A's and Tips can be nice to listen to, but IMO not the stuff that makes you grow as a player. Of course, I guess everybody wants
  9. Sounds like I am on the right track. Btw, if you feel like shooting some HU sng's as well sometime, that would be cool.
  10. Thanks for the answer. How about when you get your opponent to -10 bb's. Time to start shipping pre with all ace-x, king-x and other above average hands? Or is raising small still an option? (against a typical opponent)Looking forward to watch your heads up vids.Btw, was rooting for Sean Sherk in that clip you have attached, but must admit that BJ simply was in control the whole match. :/
  11. Hi,First post. I have been signed up for PokerVT for a week and really like much of the content! Especially the heads up SnG:s by Daniel. Since I only play heads up, I would love to see more videos heads up (both Sng and cashgames), both from Daniel and from the other pros. The question I have for Daniel (and anyone else who wants to answer) is at what point is it time to revert from the preflop 2x raise strategy to the limp strategy? That is, how many BB should your stack cover? Also, when your opponent gets low on chips, I have found that a limping/all-in strategy might work best, since he is
