Looking back I guess I should have just pushed. Normally though I find you get more respect with a standard raise. Most thinking players realize that you are going to have to call the reraise anyway, so it usually doesn't matter whether you push or just raise. I tend to do the standard raise more often because it makes it look like you want action and makes people more hesitant to play against you.In this case I think I just gave the guy too much credit, and probably should have just pushed on him or folded.Would like to hear Pat's thoughts on it.
