#3579613 Random News Observations

Posted BigDMcGee on 06 February 2013 - 01:53 AM

I wish people could get beyond the Coke Vs Pepsi shell game of partisan politics, and look at how dangerous the bi-partisan expansion of executive power is. Each administration in my life time (and probably since LBJ at least) has progressively expanded the power and authority of the executive branch, and no one seems to give a ****. Democrats only care when it's a republican doing it, and vice versa, and meanwhile the executive just gets more and more non-constitutionally granted power. One of these years we are going to elect someone truly dangerous in the executive, and we're going to wish we hadn't given the office Imperium.

#3573723 The Official Obama Scorecard Thread

President Obama ordered the cabinet to cut $100,000,000.00 ($100 million) from the $3,500,000,000,000.00 ($3.5 trillion) federal budget.

I'm so impressed by this sacrifice that I have decided to do the same thing with my personal budget. I spend about $2,000 a month on groceries, household expenses, medicine, utilities, etc., but it's time to get out the budget cutting axe, go through my expenses, and cut back.

I'm going to cut my spending at exactly the same ratio (1/35,000) of my total budget. After doing the math, it looks like instead of spending $2,000 a month, I'm going to have to cut that number by six cents. Yes, I'm going to have to get by with $1999.94, but that's what sacrifice is all about.

I'll just have to do without some things, that are, frankly, luxuries – six cents worth."

Here in Louisina casinos we have several "regulars" who are rocks and play very well every day. My suggestion is get to know who these people are before you play against them. It isn't hard just show up early and watch. Lots of people will know them and they will be very comfortable. The problem I face in alot of NL games is the largest game offered is 2-5 and you have rich people playing with a 100-200 bank roll playing 2-5. Me and several others are very obviously better players but they will all-in you into quitting. If you can't avoid these people, tighten up and let them make the mistakes when you have the goods.
Sounds like you're not fully rolled for 2-5 or else this isn't something you should worry about.
