  1. "The statement "evolution is both a theory and a fact" is often seen in biological literature. This statement arises because evolution is used in two ways. In short, the word is ambiguous. The "fact of evolution" refers to the changes in the genetic material of a population of biological organisms over time, which are known to have occurred through scientific observations and experiments. The "theory of evolution" refers to the modern evolutionary synthesis, which is the current scientific explanation of how these changes occur. Misuse and misunderstanding of these terms have been used to con
  2. He called the river, the guy with 7 high bet.
  3. FYPAt least I am assuming that becuase x=2 is a solution of f(x), x=-2 isn't, so when you divide by (x-2) you'll get something with no remainder, namely.f(x)/(x - 2) = (x^2 - 2x + 1)You can then factor by (x - 1)f(x)/((x - 2)*(x-1)) = (x - 1)Therefore you have a double solution at x=1 and a simple solution at x=2.Seriously, none of those questions is difficult.
  4. Just in case anyone is interested, NoSup4U is posting live updates from his American Gladiators tryouts in general.
  5. $0.10 BB (6 handed) SB ($6.47)BB ($10.58)UTG ($5.69)Hero ($9.34)CO ($15.15)Button ($59.71)Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with , . UTG raises to $3.40, Hero ?Notes on UTG:Min-raised and pushed all in on 5 J J board with two hearts with K 7 (no hearts).Pot flop/turn called all in with 10h 4h on a J J Q 8 board with no hearts.Called all in preflop after limp/re-raising with 6 8.Basically, aggrotard. If this were heads up I'd fistpumpinstashove here 100.1% of the time, but what should I do with 4 players left behind to act?At this point, basically everyone is just trying to get UTG's money.
  6. 10 NLStack sizes:UTG: $6.11.Hero: $18.32.CO: $8.16Button: $5.45SB: $23.08.BB: $7.80.Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is UTG+1 with J J UTG folds, Hero raises to $0.35, CO folds, Button folds, SB raises to $1.15, BB folds, Hero calls.Flop: 3 3 7 ($2.40, 2 players)SB checks, Hero bets $2, SB raises to $4, Hero ?.SB is by far the most competent player at the table, he's always had the goods when he plays a big pot and hasn't gotten out of line.Preflop I felt like 4-betting was a spew, but I've only switched to 6-max recently so I have no real experience to back that up with. I also felt folding
  7. OK, so most people seem to agree that we have to be beat on the turn, I was pretty sure my hand was no good. However, I misclicked (playing at 3 AM is -EV) and ended up reraising, he snap-called with Q7c. Pretty much every c-bet I had made in this session was about 3/4 of the pot when I was HU, but thinking about it, at this level it's likely no one will notice what I'm doing, so point taken.
  8. ...either your math skills are a bit lacking or these are not the right numbers.
  9. If you don't like being at a supertight table, then change tables. But the better option is to just loosen up your game and start raising a lot more, thats where the real value comes from at these types of tables, not by getting the most values out of monsters. Having said that, I'd bet small on the turn, likely the only action will come if BB has a 5, and he's not going to fold it anyway.
