  1. I don't know what type of hi-lo you play but coming in with a J4Q, even if it's suited, is horrible. Raising made it worse. Don't get to upset folding 3 unsuited broadway cards, even if your live.
  2. Should have threw that last chip in preflop, saving it does nothing for you. You're going to have to play one hand blind, why not play the one where you can double up 600 instead of just 100?

On the cover of his books, there always seems to be some incorporation of 8-3. Take a look. Hold em poker for advanced players they are the hole cards on the cover and in tournament poker for advance players the flop is 883. I know I've seen it somewhere else too. I find it to be weird, maybe I just have too much time on my hands. Does anyone have a clue, does he have some sort of sentiment towards 8-3 that I'm not aware of? 4. Hand 1 : checking the flop is probably the best move. It's a small pot that is showing two hearts so you could be drawing to only 6 outs. On the turn you might have the best hand so betting out when the Td hits might pick up the pot otherwise you just added 2 outs to your hand (2 Ts, Th completes the flush). With 8 outs your getting 3-to-1 on your money when you need about 4.75-to-1 is not profitable though. The implied odds suggest you call, adding the 1-2 BB you make on the river (if the BB folds) but you may only be making 1 more BB and a few times you will split this pot
  5. I hate after about three 'on-topic' posts the rest are just flames.
  6. In this situation I would call. What I really want is to go heads up with the sb who is going to push his stack in with any two cards. He can't afford to call and try to hit his hand, with that stack he is going to make a move. Now his raise isn't too much only 450 but the bb might be hesitant to call, and he should be. He can't be certain that if he calls this small raise (450) that I won't re-raise him all my chips. So then I get what I want, go heads up with he sb and the bb's money left in a pot where I most likely have the best of it. Now if the bb just calls the sb's raise I am s
  7. Some guy sat at the .04/.08 stud table today with $1,700. He cappped his first hand and took all some kids money with K's full, then donated two dollars back to him...kinda like some superhero
  8. I have been with this forum for a few months but this is my first of hopefully many posts. I love this site, and this forum, and to let one person come here and start such an uproar is asking for disaster. EVERYONE, and I mean EVERYONE, that visits this forum daily, whether they post or not, is decently educated in poker just by reading and learning everything that is available here. Anyone that comes here and refuses to learn from someone else, no matter the limit, is obviously not a smart player. Knowledge from any limit is still knowledge. Whether it's .05/.10 or 3.6 it's still poker and
