  1. Just testing my new avatar...I'm a member of the Mushu fan club:)
  2. Just finished it myself...best poker book ever written, period. Here's the Amazon link:http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detai...=glance&s=books
  3. If I hadn't just read Daniel's comments about the upcoming Poker Mountain marketing at the WSOP, I'd think we had been ripped off. I tried to withdraw some of my money from PM a few days ago and the transaction wouldn't go through (said system error). Upon emailing support, I was told there was a problem and that they were working on fixing it...and that they were very sorry for the inconvenience. Now my account says zero so I don't know what's going on.
  4. I agree with everything Iveyfan said...I felt the same exact way. The reality is every person deserves a second opportunity to redefine him or herself...we're all works in progress. And to be honest, I have no problem w/ Josh saying something to Toto L....he was taking forever and is damn annoying to watch, much less to play with. I hated what he said about Raymer to D. Williams but could understand his reaction to Harry Demetrieau's reckless all-in. With that board, at that stage, with everything they were playing for, it was a reckless bet and he deserved to be sucked out on (IMO).
  5. Just put the picture back up as it was.http://www.TeenWinners.com
  6. Whatever the motives, both DN's and Arieh's journals are fun as hell to read...and even insightful a lot of the time.http://www.TeenWinners.com
  7. Thanks everyone...much appreciated.http://www.TeenWinners.com
  8. Finished BoDog's $10,000 Guaranteed tourney at 2:30 AM and took home $3,000...needless to say I was all pumped up and didn't get to sleep for awhile (reeeallllly needed the money). Best finish prior to this was 3rd out of a 100 so taking 1st out of 130 or so is a big deal to me. I'm looking forward to when Poker Mountain starts running MTT's. Any word on when this will happen?http://www.TeenWinners.com
  9. Hey Cap,I became a vegetarian about 9 months ago and the transition hasn't been as difficult as I believed. There are a few companies out there who now have vegetarian burgers, chicken patties, chicken nuggets, etc., in the grocery store...and with tomato, pickle, ketchup... I can't even tell the difference anymore. Daniel often mentions that if he's at a tourney, it's sometimes tough to find a decent meal. I know when I'm at Foxwoods or another B&M, I just fall back on a slice of pizza. Then again, I 'm not a vegetarian just to be more healthy; for each person that goes veggy, about 70-9
  10. You played great and I wish you the best at the Bellagio. You also knocked me out and I actually dreampt I was going to win the night before (that's never happened before)! You called my small blind all-in w/ AK and caught the king (WBASMrG). Again, good luck with the 25,ooo buy-in!!!!
  11. I'll be there the 3rd, 4th, and 5th (and hopefully beyond if I can also win a $5000 seat). If anyone here wants to say what's up or talk poker in between, I'll be the guy in the red NC State hat.Rob
  12. Good additions, Jayson. Don't agree with the Rockne one at all but that's old-school thinking so I can understand where he was coming from. I'm definitely a wren so I realize I have to outwork and outpersist others. That's a great quote for kids struggling in school, too; so many of them don't realize that a strong work ethic is the most important requisite for future success, not innate ability, so they end up giving up and "failing with honor" (not trying so when they fail they have a built-in excuse). By the way, your efforts as a mod are impressive and much-needed. I was just at the RGP fo
  13. You're living with a purpose, LukesMom, and I'm sure you now know that when one steps outside of oneself is when magic happens. AWESOME job and thank you for making a difference.
  14. Great posts, guys and ladies. I lurk at 2+2, RPG and here, and I enjoy this forum more than any (also a big Negreanu fan - as a player and as a person). As I was reading through this thread, some quotes came to mind (obviously, I'm big on insight-lending quotes). A few of these are unrelated to Norman's thread but can be applied to poker playing in general. Hope you each get something out of at least one or two of 'em.
