Well, let's break this hand down a bit: It's blind vs. blind, with SB limping and the BB checking with the same hand. I think Josh has to be thinking that Devin has a junk hand; granted, that junk hand could include a high spade, in which case his read is wrong. But the flop came with a lot of low cards and Josh had position, so by the time the board filled out with four spades, Josh could feel reasonably confident that (a) any spade the Devin has will be too weak to call an all-in and (B) that his cold-calling of bets on the flop and the turn could make it seem plausible to Devin that he was

I guess I can understand if people balk at Josh Schlein's etiquette at the table; and I think he's going to have to cut down on the physical tells now that people know the hands that match the expressions. What I don't understand is how anyone couldn't be wowed by his performance, which to me was so brilliant that it makes me want to quit playing altogether. Just for the 7-3 hand alone: He calls on every street with no pair and no draw, then jams on the river with four to a flush on the board. That takes serious guts, not to mention an uncanny ability to read his opponent. What's more, can anyo

Thank God this is a double-stack tourney, because I've been card dead for an hour. I don't think I've lost a contested pot, but I haven't gotten much action for the few decent hands I've had. Right near where I started at 2920 at the break. Only excitement is watching doubleme make a sick call with middle pair. Nice.Scott

I'm sitting at doublemeup's table right now. Playing under "steamy mctilt." Not such action so far, but holding steady.Scott

Bounced in 29th for a whopping $6 profit. My pocket 10s ran into pocket kings in the BB. Let's see... two hours and 45-minutes... that's a rate of just over $2 an hour. Any positions open at a Taco Bell in the Chicagoland area? I hear the pay's better. Scott

Heading in the wrong direction now, I'm afraid. Currently on break: 44th place with 66 players left. 36 pay, so I'll be riding the bubble in Hour Three, but I'm not the sort to sneak into the money. No point in playing these things unless you're trying to get to the final table and beyond; otherwise, the rate is pretty paltry. In any case, I see Grinder is holding pretty steady, so best of luck to him. I sure could have used that slow P-Stars deepstacks structure in Hour Two, because my cards were dead as a doornail. The player two to my right, redstar1976, has been making donkey plays all day

I notice now that Grinder and I are neck and neck with 130 remaining. Plenty of chips for both of us, though I really think the whole double-stack thing is a bit silly. It's not like the blind structure is any slower, so the only real advantage is to accumulate a lot of chips in the early going. Anyway, I'm in as "steamy mctilt." Just lost a pot that knocked me down to 19th, but the table seems soft and I expect smooth sailing if the cards behave. Good luck, Grinder. Hope to see you at the final table. Scott

Im no tournament pro but you have to call here? what are the blinds, firstly im not sure if id raise that much of my stack with K-Qo secondly i dont think id ever call and all in for 1500 more chips with it.as i said though, Im no pro.I think you have to call. IIRC, the blinds were at 80-160 and I raised in middle position the standard 3BB, which was around 500. You may not agree with that play, but I think there are critical periods in a tournament where you want to double up while you still have some chips left to do some damage. The average chip stack at that point was a little over double

I'm due for a big pot all right. Two hands and I'm out. The first one, I call a raise with J-Q in position. Flop comes Ace high. Raiser checks to me and I try to steal with a pot-sized bet. He calls. I basically shut down at that point, figuring he's slow-playing me with an ace or unwilling to part with a high pocket pair like KK or QQ. So rather than fire a shell on fourth or fifth street, I check it down and he turns up J-K! I have no idea why he would call my bet on the flop with that hand, with no pair and no draw, but it worked out for him. Down to T2000, I raise with K-Qo to about T500,

Er... steamy mctilt.Currently running a bit below average. Only big hand I've had since the beginning was JJ again-- this time, a guy raised in first position, I reraised a significant amount, and he folded. The rest of the time, I've speculated with marginal fare (small pockets, suited connectors, etc.) and haven't hit a thing. I'm due for a big pot, I can feel it.EDIT: And hey croc, I now see you're sitting in pretty good position right now. Keep it up.

Anyone else in this one or is everyone playing the $10 deepstack? Two hands in and I've already doubled up. I have pocket jacks, put in a raise pre-flop, and get one caller. Flop comes a perfect 10 high rainbow. I put in a solid pot-sized bet, other guys raises. Either he has A-10 (which is the most likely possibility) or he's flopped a set and I'm screwed. He has A-10, doesn't improve, and I'm up to T3,000.Now I've ballooned to T4205 when some donk gave away 2/3 of his chips on a busted straight draw. Hope my luck continues. GL everyone else. I'm playing as "steamy mctilt."Scott

Out in 91st. Had to push with any face card. Got Kh5h UTG. Amazingly, everyone folded to my paltry all-in bet until it got to the BB, who called with 77. 5 on the flop, but sevens hold. A better finish would have been nice, but I'm pleased with my performance. I didn't have particularly great cards all day-- AA and QQ got me blinds, AK ****ed me against A8-- but I grinded it out and made some good money. Not $63,000, but not too bad either. Thanks for the support, rail types. Hopefully, I'll have the time to make another run soon.

Well, I'm on fumes at 7800, but I slipped into the money, which will make for a nice ROI should I bust out soon. $24 to win $375 ain't bad. Sorry about the bubble boy bustout, Cane. That really sucks.

OMG. Loose-aggressive chip leader raises to 2000. I push for my last 6000 with A-9 offsuit. The dude folds. Seems like he would be mathematically inclined to call, but I'll take it. Up to 11,000.

Arrrrgggghhh!!!I have AsKs guy with a little less than half my stack goes all-in before me. I push all-in. All fold. He has A-8 unsuited. 8 on the ****ing turn. Crippled now. Down to 6700 and in need of a double-up. Such crap.
