"I get QJ spades.Guy raises 3Xbb in front of me I just call. Flop is A 8 3 with two spades. He bets the pot I call. Turn is a 9 of spades. He goes all in I call. He has AK no spade I win the pot.Have over 15000 now...."Has anyone come up with a name for this phenomenon? I have seen it several times- I am referring to the "boy, that was a terrible card for me, it completes a draw, so I will go all in now move, but I should have done that on the flop if I was going to." And it often happens in instances like this, where the guy obviously does not have a redraw. Seems like a terrible play

greenstein talks about winners in the big game.

Um.Let's think about this for a moment:$163,000/58= an hourly rate of $2,810 Let's say Dapper Dan were to play 40 hours of big game a week, for 40 weeks, to give him time for his other tournaments and projects. That would be $2810x40x40= a yearly income of 4.49 Million Dollars. That's pretty damn good- just home much is everyone beating this game for? I've heard Ivey plays like 80 hours a week and makes like 10-15 million a year at the big game. If that's true, DN's performance is at most probably only a little behind of Ivey, if he's not ahead of Ivey's rat- and thats depending on how many -
Guess I'll have to check out one of those sites after I finish clearing the bonus. I should probably try out Party Poker with rakeback and all that.

Not to go off topic, but here it goes. I always hear that Full Tilt has a lot of tought players on it, and that it's not a good place to play. So I just have to ask, I am up about $1600 since 3/25 playing 2/4 and 3/6 limit on there, having cleared $440 of my $600 first deposit bonus. Is this really out of the ordinary for this site? I don't really have a frame of reference at this point. I was doing well at Pokerroom at similar limits, but I don't exactly crush the Foxwoods 4/8 limit game. Just wondering.O

Ok, so I don't get it? Why is this hand a good example of Spirit Rock's amazing play?? Assuming he had them covered he is betting $2400 to make $4300, he's not even getting 2-1 odds, and he's a much bigger dog than 2:1. Sounds like a lucky guy, but nothing special.N I really hope Spirit Rock makes it to the final table with a good chip stack. Then we can see his style in full force You can see it every day on UltimateBet. Log on, open up Blundeston, Brooklyn Park, etc. $25/$50 NL tables. He's unreal. One hand I remember watching, two players go all in preflop with $1900 and the other with $ -
I saw one episode at Foxwoods when Phil Ivey was playing, where Sexton kept saying he has " the heart of a lion, he's not afraid to lay for all his money...." I think the first time he said this I nearly fell off my chair because Ivey made the nut straight on the river and pushed it all in after it had been checked around on the flop and turn. and I was wondering who could possibly call him All-In and why he didn't bet less.I was not pleased with the commentary

Hi, I'm fairly new to poker, been playing online and off for months now and I am puzzled-- I seem to be a much better no-limit player than I am a small stakes limit player. I play at Foxwoods, and I can pretty consistenly beat the $2-4 game there, but when I went to Vegas recently I had lots of ups and downs at the Luxor and Bellagio, with lots of people drawing out on me. I was trying to play Slansky's Small Stakes Hold'em Book in mind, which I had just read, and I had lots of oscillations, I would win big pots and then lose others on the river. I play small suited connectors and A-suit
