I have played on Paradise Poker's play money site for 2+ years. I am considering converting to real money. Does anyone have any suggestions as to which sites are the best for the money? Does anyone have any horror stories concerning credit card charges or being unable to get your winnings?Any information or guidance would be greatly appreciated.Ron

I would not have called. Based upon the betting, I would have to fold or raise. If this hand was the first hand played or within the first ten hands, I must assume Daniel does not know how I play and he's has got to think I have the nut flush if I check raise.Daniel, would you have called a check raise on the river? For what its worth, I think you played the hand great.

Are you allowed to play two hands in a poker room?

No, it would give you too much of an advantage (ability to check / raise yourself) and see too many cards. -

I like the Excalibur. The 1-3 game is full of people just learning. Be aware you are basically playing showdown, someone will call to the river. The 2-6 game is full of all types of players. Blinds are 1-2, but you can bet anywhere from 2 - 6 at anytime. This can get expensive compared to a normal 3-6 game. The no-limit is 1-2 blinds with a min/max buyin of $100. The game has mostly better players. At times you may have 2-3 people join the game that know each other and typically they do not know exactly how to play except to bet and raise often. The Mandaly Bay has a good 4-8 game wi -
I am planning at trip to the Caribbean in early spring and I was wondering if anyone can give me any firsthand information on where to find a well run poker room in the islands?I am open to suggestions. Also has anyone played poker in Aruba at either the Stellaris Casino or the Excelsior Casino. The WEB makes them sound inviting, but I rather hear from someone who has actually played / stayed there. Thanks,Rleary

Goldstike and Horseshoe both have good, well run poker rooms. The Goldstrike has rate of $25 and $35 for either 5 or 6 hours play a day, plus you can get a meal comp. I normally stay and play at Goldstrike. The two casinos are connected by a covered walkway. The Holloywood Poker Room is not well lit and noisy. The Grand is OK.Hope this helps.Leary
