easy fold, prob should have mucked on the turn. He's likely full from the flop, not likely improved on the turn, but if he did, you're drawing to 3 outs for the K and paying off a better boat should you fill one of your lower cards.

you dont know what you're talking about. What "he" has done before this is irrelevant. This is a standard play from any poker player who's short stacked and in position. Insta call, you dont push all in from the button w/ JJ or better as a short stack, you'd try to get some value out of it. All-in on the button from a short stack is a steal w/ a huge range of hands. 95% of the time you'll be way ahead. Easy call. -
I think if you called his raise on the turn, you should call the river. You may be beat, but at a price of nearly 9:1, you should pay it off, he could be holding KQ, QJ, Q10. He'd raise AQ preflop, so he doesnt likely have that, but if you're folding b/c you think he has J10 or Q9, calling the turn raise makes you also call the river bet. Bad fold in my opinion.

I use MyWebATM and it works pretty great, costs a few bucks in fees, but I pull out 400-500 each time and $4-$5 fees dont really bother me. If you're not concerned by a few dollars in fees, Mywebatm works instantateously and is quite a way to go.

Hey guys, As some of you may have seen, I posted that I decided to play in the $215 tourney at UB tonight. Just thought I'd let you know how it turned out. There were 561 players in the field, I did fairly well, but busted out in 193rd place. Kind of a sob/bad beat story hand, but I'll post it for you so you can grieve with me. If you're a member of UB, you are aware that you can buy-in w/ Ultimate Points instead of money. This is how I got in, the Tourney was only $3 which equals 750 UB pts, I had about 3k pts in my account so I put down 1500 pts and won entry into the $200. Getting $215 for free seemed like a good deal if I wanted to unregister. A shot at 30k seems like it will be worth it though.

Talked it over w/ my buddy and we decided I'll just play, my game has been sharp the past week. I've just finished my semester at UW and am playing cards for my summer job. Already my hold'em game is showing promise and this could pay for my whole summer, so here I come.

I appreciate everyone's thoughts. I feel like I would fair well in this tournament, but wanted to get a few other opinions. Still a toss up to see if i'll play or not... we'll see come Sunday.

I need your Opinion:Hey guys, I am a regular tournament player at UB and Partypoker. I just played in a $3+0 satellite and won an entry into the $200+15 tourney this weekend. I usually only play $10-$30 buyin tournaments and am very comfortable at this level. The field for these tournaments runs about 100-250 players. This big $200 tourney Sunday night is guaranteeing a $120,000 prize pool. That means there will be 600+ players, I'm wondering if it would be worthwhile to just "unregister" from the tourney and take the $215 instead of trying to dogfight my way through several hundred playe

haha, you just came into my O8b sng and asked if we wanted to join... by time I got to the table it was full, oh well, next time.
-
anybody else have a favorite seat they pick 4 sng's?
Bonham83 replied to Drum Infected's topic in General Poker Forum
I sit in seats 2, 4, 7, and 9. But this is more for a practical use rather than a "lucky seat" requirement. On Party I play 2-4 SNG's at a time so sitting in these 4 particular seats makes it easy to overlap tables w/o overlapping my cards at each individual table. -
i qualified back in october, been a long wait for the big finale

you dont stand a chance in hell of making it the whole way, a miracle you made it as far as you have

sounds like we have a real fish on our hands... playing 2/4 full table w/ $100? limping with AA? also sounds like he's doing some underage gambling. Anyway... I'm from WI too, play online at UB, PS and PP, all three have been fine for withdrawing $.

If possible, i'd like to give Smash a virtual punch in the face. I agree with what you've said throughout this post... but my god you're a jerk. This guy gives unreal amounts disrespect to everyone who disagrees with him. Lighten up a bit Smash, its poker, its a friendly forum, no need to always be the antagonist.
