IMO Caesars do have a responsibility to the players.How about this analogy.Man walks into Caesars casino, walks into the poker room, walks over to a 2/5 NL game, picks up $1200 chips from one of the players stacks, and then attempts to walk out of the casino... what would happen? Who is responsible for recovering the 1200?Similarly, what if some guy walks up to a blackjack table and takes 500 bucks off someones stack and attempts to leave the casino.
