I would fold my way into the money. It may not sound macho or whatever. I have already put over two hours of my time and would atleast like to have something to show for it. At this stage of the tournament I am a short to medium stack surviving to the money or I am the big stack stealing pots at every chance. Many times I see it in tournaments once everyone is in the money things can change so fast. The big stacks have trouble changing gears and make some horrendous calls and alot of the medium sized stacks change gears and run over the table. I have had most succes in tournaments surviv

I feel like I have had the same problem. I keep getting myself in good position but coming up short. I am going to quit worrying about what place I might finish and change gears. Start shooting from the hip and trying to get all my money in the pot with the best of it. IF the other players sense that you are anxious to get all of your money in the pot they might just want to stay out your way. A few nights ago I made the final table even in chips with the top 4 and ended up finishing 8th. I felt like I choked and felt pretty sick to my stomach for a good 3 hours.

If you extremely certain that there will be a button raise every time limp in with AA and KK the first chance you get and reraise all in. You will get great odds as a 4-1 favorite and next time you limp in it will be in the back of their minds. Might help you see some cheap flops if you catch them a couple times. You have probably thought of this but just a suggestion that I love to do on a crazy table if I can get the cards to do it. Another thing you could do is the squeeze play although it's a little risky, If you are certain they are raising with crap and you have enough chips try the

This is probably opposite of what people will tell you but I like to get in there and gamble early in the tournament. Most of the people are playing like squeezers, once the table sees you playing alot of hands you have a better chance of getting your big hand paid off. Use alot of descretion, obviously don't call a big raise with rags. I want to have the average or above average stack when the blinds get big, thats when I start playing tight and exploiting premium opportunities from desperate short stacked players. This is just the way I do it, I play totally opposite then everything I

I wouldn't risk losing money in a pot where you can't win anything. Ace Rag suited is one of my favorite hands to play when 5 or more people are seeing a flop. The only way I ever call with bottom pair is if I am getting better than 12-1 on my money and I am certain all my outs are live. Ofcourse there may be times heads up when you play it for the best hand. I only play for even money when I think I am close to a 2-1 favorite. This is just my opinion, there will always be a better spot to stick your money in the pot.

If you must play play money make certain you use the oppurtunity to develop your odds and outs calculation skills to where they become second nature. If you can take one thing out of it that may be the most important.

I wish I could find a 4-8 game where 7 people were constantly drawing out to the end. Yes, you might have some bad swings but with pots constantly laying those type of odds you should be crushing that game.

In Lehmans terms, you would play 9-13 clear cut outs as if you had a made hand and you were charging people to draw against you.
