  1. Ok I'm gonna start out by saying I am in the worst rut of a lifetime, something you can write books on lol. Examples....top pair top kicker in a raise pot, losing to 2 pair and an over pair. Massive overpairs getting busted my sets. Nuts to my second nuts....for the past 6 months thats all ive been seeing. To the story.....We are playing a LIVE .25-.50 cash game, dealers choice.Hero has $30Villian has $50Dealer has $50Dealer chooses Pot-Limit Omaha and I'm in the big blind with Ac As 4c 2h. 3 players total in the game (at the moment). Dealer calls and all 3 to the flop, $1.50 in the pot. Flop g
  2. ok, y was it a bad play? i had a boat? he was the type of player that was capable of moves like these and i felt he was doing it right there.
  3. its a live cash game, if u can tell me how i can convert that hand history it would be great
  4. A little background....its a live cash game .25-.50, i have about 120, and so does player x. I put player x on immense tilt about an hour ago, and is a very loose aggressive player....very hard to predict. So the action is 4 handed, im in the BB with J 2 off and it limps around with player x in the SB and I check.flop goes 4 2 2 rainbow....checks around.turns comes a 4, SB checks, i bet $2, UTG folds, Button folds, player x (SB) calls.river comes a K...Player X bets 2, i raise to 5....player X pushes all in.Should I call or fold????
  5. i do call him a friend, this is just speculation, that could be true...ill have to let u guys know next time i play with him
  6. it was an 8 of culbs, but i found that irrelevant cuz i prolly would have raised preflop, he calls me and the flop goes 10 high and he can take it from me...his standard play...at any sign of weakness bet.thanks for everyone else...ima look into it, the only thing that sucks is that hes a good friend...is it wierd that at the casino he plays tight as a rock, but in the home game he is constantly playing really really loose.
  7. My ex-roommate and I regularly play with one kid (player x), hes also a pretty good friend, but my ex-roommate has always thought him to cut cards. He goes on unbelievable rushes (similar to jamie gold but more regularly), and he said that player X gets the biggest pots when he deals.I have always suspected it but never really looked into considering he is a good friend. Well the other night we played and he went on another ridiculous run. One hand he dealt, i was UTG and he dealt the first 2 cards to the SB and BB and then looked at me, smiled, and gave me a head flick (like whats up...u get
  8. holyfield....thanks, i mean the whole night it was just constant raise with crap, hit, take big pots...i was just looking to isolate with my raise, i didnt expect him to come out re-reraising, cuz for the most of the night he would just constantly bet it out (whether he had it or didnt) so the check-re-reraise was very scary.also me and my other friend r looking into him cutting cards....he did this to me once, he was dealing...looked at me smiled and gave a head flick, then dealt me my card....Ace of spades...i saw it and instantly mucked, i did not want to get involved with something like th
  9. Well you cant raise to 12.50 cuz the min would be 15, but what was wrong was that i meant to say raised 7.50 over, and raised 12.50 over...but that is all beside the point
  10. i didnt even notice that, i meant to say that i raised 7.50 more and he reraises 12.50 more.holyfield wrote: i think the first step is you need to work on getting emotionless reads and correct reads. when you say he has been hitting does that mean he has been playing recklessly and then hitting on future streets when called down? or playing loosely pf and hitting flops? if he is playing in a whole lot of pots he cant be having good hands all the time and you should have expanded calling ranges etc etc. hard to give advice on hand because i feel your reads are the problem not the play in one pa
  11. So its .25-.50, its late in the night and for the past 2-3 hours i havent seen very many hands at all, i saw a couple but im in for 60, and down to around 30.My opponent (player X) has maybe 120 in front of him, and has been very aggressive all night and is hitting every other hand he is in.4 people limp around and im in the cut off with A4 off. we all see a flop of A 3 10 (2 clubs) checks around to guy to my right he bets out 2.50.I raise to 7.50, Player X check reraises to 12.50. I think for awhile and fold, he should me 89 off for a bluff.Given the situation i was in (havent hit anything in
  12. yea sorry i dont recall the exact details, and i appreciate everything everyone has said, with that said im gonna work on a few things. thanks again
  13. well i sit around until the blinds, meaning i dont see much during the round and try to get in as cheap as i can to maybe hopefully hit something and play from there. well this is not online, this is live so bluffing at the right times can be very useful. here was a hand i have 87o on the button, guy in cutoff raises i call flop goes 889 i bet he pushes, i call he flips over jj and turn is blank, river is j....it seems like things like that happen often. or another one was i have k6o in bb, under the gun limps, folds around i check. flop goes 578, 2 hearts. turn comes 6 hearts, river is k. giv
  14. Hey everyone I heard this forum was 10 times better then cardplayer's so I'm happy to be here....anyway....I have been having a problem, I seem to be losing in my bigger game (.25-.50) and winning in my small game (.10-.25), but the thing is its not my play. I hit when I play the smaller game and am consitently missing and having terrible streaks in the bigger game, when I'm in a hand or not I am always missing. And when I do hit I seem to be outdrawn or sucked out on when the money goes in, or I'll hit like 2 pair or something and lose to a bigger 2 pair or some other sort of bigger hand. It
