To freely admit "I don't feel the least bit bad about it' would suggest you do not have much of a conscience. Also, you describe the people you are playing with in a derogatory manner which does not reflect well on your character. You've probably heard the old adage 'What goes around comes around'? - perhaps you should remember that in future. In my youth I often played poker with both friends and acquaintances, and one thing we NEVER EVER did was to collude or cheat. This message was reinforced by our elders, e.g. fathers, uncles, etc. Even the toughest of dudes observed this unwri

does dan give lessons/classes like howard lederer?
Bullagio replied to Pearl's topic in General Poker Forum
The lack of any publicity would suggest Daniel has not taught at any Poker Camp, at least not so far, although I must confess I think his pleasant manner & disposition would enable him to do the job well. There are many things that simply cannot be 'taught' outside of the theory and odds of poker etc. Daniel is a striking example of a very talented Poker player who has the uncanny ablility to read/sense/understand his opponents, which is precisely what I mean about what cannot be 'taught'.In spite of my comments above, I would certainly be more than willing to attend a Poker school or camp -
I've played at many of the Casinos in Las Vegas, and for sure The Bellagio is a very class act! I was amused to read the comments in this thread about the indifference shown by Casino Rama when asked about a special hotel rate for Poker players, which did not surprise me, since Casino Rama does not have any 'competition' to worry about, unlike The Bellagio which is surrounded by several other casinos, e.g. Caesar's, Flamingo, Bally's, Paris, Alladin, and many others only a few minutes away.Casino Rama is often bursting at the seams during peak times, with a long wait often necessary to get a

I tried to get a seat to play poker at Casino Rama around Sunday lunch time about a week ago, but the waiting list was too long on the lower limit tables where I wanted to play. It was also very difficult to kibbitz any of the table action from outside the poker room. Maybe they just hope you'll go and do your money on the slots while you are waiting? The poker room does seem a little cramped, so obviously the casino management want to maximise the financial return by crowding them in with a higher than average maximum rake. As a reformed smoker (the worst kind?) I just love a non-smoking r

My wife has The Sun delivered every Sunday. I don't usually read it (I read The Star), but today I made a beeline for it after reading about the article in this thread. It is an informative an interesting article, and I'm curious to know if Daniel himself will make any comments about it in this forum.I'm also curious as to how Daniel conducts his business affairs. With his reputation as being one of the best poker players in the world (even THE best?), he is certainly in big demand, both inside and outside of actually playing the game itself. He obviously has a very hectic schedule, and as

im getting sick of people raising with flush draws
Bullagio replied to a topic in General Poker Forum
You call them morons for raising on a flush draw, but then they make you sick when they make their flush on the river?A double edged whine perhaps? There will always be players prepared to raise where others would not - all part of the game! Obviously by calling their raise, you are betting they WON'T make their flush draw, simply opposing what they are hoping to achieve. All part of the 'FUN'! -
Hi Daniel - congrats to both you and Steve! I wonder how the other major poker rooms will respond? Will they in turn appoint their own Poker Ambassadors?Did Steve give you a 'Job Description'?I'm sure you will make an excellent Ambassador Daniel.

:-) This is my first post, and I'm glad to see Daniel has taken steps to eliminate any posts which violate the 'rules'. I've noticed some dreadful remarks and comments on other websites, which do not seem to be moderated. There is far too much hate in this world already, and although 'freedom of speech' should be the norm, there is no need to be nasty, racist, bigoted, rude etc. I will try and look on the bright side of things whenever I post, although there is a more serious side of me if need be (maybe due to me being a Gemini).
