  1. I assume you think you're a better player than the guy in the small blind. If I was in your shoes and I was at least as good as a majority of the others I would fold here. I'm very willing to fold AK and go into the FT with 180k and TONS of time to pick a few spots.I'm pretty much following the basics of HoH here in that with an M of roughly 20 there's no need to play a hand I don't realistically feel I'm at LEAST 66% with for half my stack. I'm relying on my skill to increase that ROI, not a race.Interesting spot.
  2. with your stack i'd be pushing, not calling. it looks desperate enough to get a call from someone holding 68 which is definitely a possibility here. you need more chips man. at LEAST 50bbs.
  3. Honestly I'd request time while I was pokerdbing him. If his avg finish was 55 or worse I'd make the call. Anything better though and I'm folding. Surely you can wait for a better spot to throw all your chips in against even an average player.
  4. I'd smoothcall this for a few reasons. Naturally, player 1 is a solid player and he may have KQ or AK. If he's really solid he might fold to a raise b/t 50-65 but that's not the main point. The donk is getting a nice cheap call for his two cards which I'm sure he assumes are live. I think he's calling here with pretty much anything. Now, let's say the turn comes a blank. The solid player is going to bet probably somewhere around 50 and if you read him for solid but not superstrong (hopefully he doesn't 2p on the turn) you can push the rest of your stack which would force him into a 120 into a 2
  5. I've stayed at the Gold Coast right across the street and would recommend it if you're looking for a slower atmosphere in which to wind down if you're actually playing in the ME. A lot cheaper. Rooms still have flat screens and are clean. It's literally right across the street.
  6. It's not really close to anything, but if you get a chance to head to the Rio I suggest it. The book is never too crowded and they'll bring you two drinks at once. John Bonetti's also there a lot although I wouldn't recommend asking him for an autograph. :-)
