If all you are doing is online poker, web, email, etc., and no gaming, that 8400 wil do you fine. One comment though, it comes with a 17" flat panel and I think you will need a monitor resolution of at least 1600x1200 to play 4 tables at a time. I think a 17" only does 1280x1024 if I remember correctly, so you might want to see about a 20" that will do 1600x1200.-Scott
