  1. I don't understand. If the SB 3 bet don't we assume there is no hand he can fold to one more bet getting likely 15:1 on his money. Or are you saying it depends on his likelyhood of backing down to us because we took the lead?If that is our intent (to keep the lead in the pot) are we not obligated to bet the flop? Otherwise capping pre-flop and checking on the flop is standing up and saying "Hey that missed me entirely and I don't even like my draws very much!"
  2. I'm folding to the 3bet on the flop. Unless the BB is a superdonk.Jx will often 3-bet.Cap flop fold if bet into on the turn.I'm assumeing I then bet the turn if checked to me? Fold if check raised? If the river is a blank do I bet/call or check/call?Sorry so many questions I've gone on a downswing that has hurt my confidence and I'm questioning a lot of what are most likely easy choices.
  3. PokerStars 0.25/0.50 Hold'em (7 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cxPreflop: Hero is UTG with J:club:, Q:diamond:. Hero calls, 5 folds, BB checks.Flop: (2.40 SB) 8:heart:, J:diamond:, 8:spade: (2 players)BB bets, Hero calls.Turn: (4.20 BB) A:club: (2 players)BB bets, Hero?I know the pre-flop call was bad. I will admit it I was surfing while playing and not paying close enough attention . . . -EVNo good reads on BB . Whole table was tight weak. I'm guessing raise or fold from this spot?

  5. i youHeh.. I you, too. But, really, how is this even debatable?Because half of the morons answering this question are under 21 and have never been inside a casino (other than that time grandma took em to Circus Circus to win the big stuffed teddy bear). :-)

  7. You are right I am wrong. We are getting just over 5.5 to one on our money if our 7 outs estimate is good.My bad
  8. I think we have to dicount some of our AK outs with the board paired. I'll say 7 outs (4 2's and half of our AK outs)From what I've seen on the Party .5/1 tables anything less than a 7BB pot by the turn is a small pot.
  9. The pot is way to small to chase! 5.5BBFold and move on.This is why the flop raise would be good (assuming both of the other 2 call) . You take the lead and build the pot so that you have the mathmatical odds to make the call if you have to.
  10. How would he play 77?or TT/JJ ?as a passive-ish pf player who does not always raise TT/JJ.He's the rare player that actually tends to be more aggressive post flop, relatively speaking.I guess you are right.I wonder if that style of play is at all profitable on the .5/1 Party tables where everyone caps it pre-flop with any soooted Ace?Just a thought.
  11. I think I would play it the same way BUT I think you are beat. Would he c/r with 77? A5s has you crushed on the river, was he going for another c/r here too? I just don't see any hands that he would play that way that you can beat. But as I said I think I would play it the same way and be pissed at myself for paying him off in the end.
  12. I will freely admit my play was not optimal. I'm still a novice at NL (Limit is more my bread and butter). My questions are not intended as an argument for my play but more as inquiries into optimal stratagy. Why not check raise on the flop with the nuts? With three to act behind me isn't it reasonable to assume someone might take a shot at a board with so many draws possible?I made the weak bet on the turn because I was hoping to get a call or raise if someone was playing the dummy end of the strait.thanks for your advice
  13. All right I’m venting here because I don’t want my chat banned AGAIN!On Pstars the other night playing .05 .10 NLHE 6Max5 HandedI’m in the SB with A 10 MP (villain) calls; Button calls; I raise 3xBB; BB calls; villain calls; button calls.Flop comes Q K J .I check (hoping to c/r) and it gets checked around.Turn is a 10 I figure I’m splitting here but I make a bet to try and find out for sure. I bet 2/3 pot; BB folds; villain doubles my bet; Button folds; I call (I’m sure it’s a split pot now).River is a A I check; Villain goes all in for 3x the pot!!After I had an aneurysm I trie
  14. Whatever happened to Daniel playing Sammy Farha Heads up PLO? I noticed it isn’t listed as one of the pending heads up matches. Does anyone know why it might have been canceled? I was especially interested in this one because it seemed like the only matches where Daniel would be a significant dog was that one and 7-card hi/low vs. Ted Forrest. As a pre-emptive strike against all the flame monkeys who will say “He was never going to play Farha heads up!” http://archiveserver.twoplustwo.com/showfl...=5&o=31&fpart=1Check the 7th post in the thread
  15. Sorry, that should say - if you capped it after the flop your opponent would fold on the turn.My bad
