Yeah..it's in St. Pete. It's awful! The blinds are sometimes up three levels after the first round. You have to make a move and get chips early or you are done.

I played in my first live action tournament at a casino and was dissapointed in my result. I need some advice. Here was the structure:$45 buy-in, Turbo : 15-25 starting blinds, $500 in starting chips. Blinds escalate every 10 mins.Fourth hand I pick up QQ in early position. I raise to $100...but becasue of the rules of the tournament...I had more chips in my hand and didn't announce the value of my raise, I was forced to raise it $250 to go...third position (chip leader with $850) raises to four hundred and fourth position raises all-in...I call. I am up against KK and AK! Needless to say, I

I have logged 3000 hands on a poker site that keeps pretty good stats and I was wondering what to make of them. I am a fairly new player (2 years) and have never tracked my stats to this level before... 3000 handsPercentage of showdowns won: 53%Winning % if flop is seen: 67%Raise: 12%...Re-raise: 6%...Call: 15%...Fold: 43%What does this all mean??? Is this average or above?

Well boys, I sat down with the mad russian and he took me again!!!I went up to Tampa to play in the extremely loose 2/2 limit HE game and came up zero for the 1,229 time. Now I know what you will say..."don't play those games", but that is the only place that has live action around here and those are the highest limits they play. I played maybe four hands outside of the big blind in four hours. I won...ONE!! (KK, flop KJ3, 10, 5) Unbelievable my trips held up. However, after that "nice" $16 pot, I started a skid that was unmatched. Cold cards, bad flops, blah blah blah...you know the routine.

A situation arose last night in a $30 buy-in home tourny and I need some help.I hold AA in middle pos...two callers in front, I raise 3x bb ...LP fold and the button folds. blinds and original better fold. I have one caller (J).$425 in potFlop:A 2 2(J) checks and I check...Turn:5J bets $450 and I raise $500. He calls the raiseRiver:5J goes all-in...I put him on A 5 suited...I call for half my stack...He flips over 5-5!!! Quads!!!I of course went on a little tilt run and lost went out five hands after that. What could I have done differently to avoid the suck-out?

Where are the boats? Don't you need to invest an entire day to get on one of those and the shuttle and the docking and the port and blah blah blah? Can I decide at 9pm that I want to go and play and go anywhere other than Tampa Hard Rock "Craps Wins" Casino?

I agree. However, there is nothing better than sitting at a card table for hours on end and enjoying the atmosphere that a B&M cardroom gives you. There has to be a way to make money at those games or else everybody would play higher limits and that is not feasible for most people. I know that luck is involved. But it is impossible to watch the drunk guy in pos 2 who can't see his cards but somehow manages to hit a full house with 3 5off and crack your AK straight. He giggles and rakes YOUR chips in front of him and then orders another jack and coke. You do everything to stay calm and rem

When you are a disciplined player and play at 2/2 limit (which is all they have in FLA) it is hard to win because folding never seems to be an option at these tables. AA beaten by J5o, KK beaten by 2 5s (straight) blah blah blah...How do I overcome that? I hardly ever win at those levels. Should I loosen up my starting requirements? Play more hands further than I typically would? Not raise preflop? People say in the end you will get their money, but that is hard to believe!
