  1. I like Brass Monkey and I rock well, I gotta castle in Brooklyn that's where I dwell!
  2. what limit were you playing?
  3. nothing at party poker surprises me anymore. bunch of MO-RONS play there in the lower limits. you may have a good day or you may get pissed off becuase some weinerslurper draws out on your AA with QJ off and thinks he's ready for the WSOP!
  4. The kid had a dream, and made his move. Don't judge him for it, understand him. He made a mistake. One major reason why most people can't make the jump from Amatuer to Professional in poker is lack of discipline. The kid let the rush goto his head. He must remember the money he is making has to pay the bills, its not like when he played 5-10 limit back home and he lost $500 in a night. This is different and he wasn't ready for it yet. If your up for the night take your winnings and live to fight another day, and if you can't catch cards cut your loses and again, live to fight another day. Don'
  5. Ahh. Thank you Jay. And might I add that you are the man!
  6. It ain't rigged. You play too much. Stop playing for awhile and read a book. Maybe one on how to play poker?
  7. Why would an internet site have a reason to "peg" someone? I don't think they make any extra money if you lose all of yours. And, they get their rake from the other people that won it. The way they make money is by the amount of games and people they have playing on their site. So what's in it for them if they fix the games? The money is just circulated anyway. Maybe I am wrong??? What's the reason they would want you to lost your $$ to someone else?
  8. Most people at low limit tables don't know how to play a nice hand or even know when someone has played a nice hand and extracted the most money they can from some unsuspecting fool. It's crazy! Good players know the difference between a really well played hand and someone who gets lucky and draws out. So if you continue to play the low limit games, I suggest turning your chat off. It's not worth explaining to the sucker's what a nice hand really is!!
  9. Anyone play at Absolute Poker? Haven't heard much about it when people talk about pros and cons of internet poker sites. Anyone have any pros and cons for this site? Thanks.
  10. The Raymer show did give me more respect for the guy. He is definitely a better player than Moneymaker. I still HATED the stupid glasses he wore and I do recall him being a slight dog in just about every all-in he called, then won. But, you need to win coin flips to win the WSOP! I respect his knowledge of the game. I guess my real grudge against him is that he worked for Pfizer and I work for a competitor. Silly huh. Did want to punch him out when he put on those stupid glasses though. :x
  11. I saw that movie the other night. Thought it was average. Didn't like the flash back set up with him being interviewed on his death bed. From what I have read/heard it was fairly accurate. He went from millionaire to broke like a half dozen times. Funny thing was that he was primarily a gin rummi player until he went to vegas to enter in a gin tourney then stayed. He won his first WSOP after only learning NL Texas HE early that year. Then he won again...and once more after his brain was fried on coke years later. They didn't show his drug abuse enough in the movie. He always had to ha
  12. SketchEtch-No hard feelings. I did kind of come off as a hard ass. I really can't see how people can play poker for a living. It can be such a sick games sometimes. Mostly because people don't play the way you are "supposed" to play. I think that is what Farha was trying to say about moneymaker. He crossed him up because he was playing so loose and "amateurish". No disrespect to moneymaker, you can't win the main event (with that many people) by getting lucky every hand. And remember, Moneymaker went all in on a bluff near the end of heads-up, and if Farha calls with his fairly weak ha
  13. SketchEtch-Whoa Dude. Didn't mean to rub you the wrong way. Wasn't implying that you were the moron. I was talking about the 2nd hand all in guy that hit his 10 on the river. There's always a couple of those guys, especially in the low buy-in SnG's and even in some of the middle ones. Hey they bug me too, I agree. I just see a lot of people out there complaining about getting rivered, early. I'm just saying hey man, it happens. I've been able to work my way around these jug heads by folding my low pocket pair and letting them steal the blinds. Did not want to insult you. Poker is pok
  14. Guys-I can settle this. My uncle's, cousin Jimmy has a godfather whose sister is best friends with Daniel's income tax advisor. He told me that Daniel only made $50,000 in 2004, but somehow Mushu banked 5 mil. (dog food endorsements I guess). And there you have it!
  15. Mine is when people whine about getting rivered on an opponent's weak all in bet that they called. If you don't want to gamble, don't put your money in the middle. Wait until the first few people go out and the play gets more serious. Even if it means laying down a pocket pair. There's a lot of moron's in this world. I see them every day. Be smarter. At least you won the SnG, why are you complaining?
