The $1 menu thing is messed up..I can feed my family for less than $10 at mcdonalds if I choose to...If I want to go to Subway, Chipotle its 3 times as much...
Feed your whole family for $10 without cooking+cleaning too. Busier lives, 2 jobs, too many things to do with the kids, and suddenly, that convenience for only $10 and it works for you.
Cooking veggies takes time! lol
I always wondered this..What is the live betting odds based on? Is it just a statistical game situation? For example this team is -150 to win the game, they are down by 2 goals at 3 min left , hence the number now is xxx???
Those of us that watched that game could see clearly the Americans were outplaying them near the end of the game. Especially in Overtime...Does some sit there and make the line, or is it a mathematical computer generated oddsmaker?
probably a statistical model. based on historical events, there is x% chance that USA scores in the last x minutes of this game, and if they score, they still lose Y% of the time, so the line is +Z
The issue in this country seems to be currently everything has to be black or white(not racially but philosophically)...It is assumed that if you are against liberal policies fiscally like the minimum wage being raised etc, you are automatically pro gun..
Just because someone didnt vote for the democratic party, it implies he is a racist...While these things are little over simplistic, there is a lot of truth to them. I see them in Canada as well, however they are nowhere near how it is in the United States. It might be because Canada is still a lot younger country, or hasnt had the racial and political tensions that is prevalent here...Not sure...
One of my best friends in Fresno is from Wisconsin. He has been here for 18 years..Our boys are hockey buddies and teammates...He is the nicest , gentlest, most generous man you will ever meet. I would trust him with my life as my families life.
However he has two giant safes full of guns. Tons of guns, hunting guns, rifles you name it he has it...He is an avid hunter, his house is full of animals that he has killed and had hung...Ive been to his house upwards of 50 times with my family. My sons have NEVER seen a gun. I have seen his guns on one occasion, when he opened the safe, when the kids werent there...He is well off financially, works hard and is one of the safest guys i have ever met..
Now the argument is does he need all those guns? Most of you and probably me might say NO, he doesnt. Is he going to go to a night club and shoot up 50 people, absolutely not.
Most people would argue he shouldnt be killing animals, well thats your opinion...Its his sport, he does everything legally and licenses for everything that he does..There are people here that are Vegans, I dont agree with that lifestyle but good for them if they choose to lead it.
I asked him the other day, are you a member of the NRA, he said no he isnt.
My friend is an example of a responsible gun owner..I m sure he is one of millions of those in this country.. The issue is a tough one..I am all for gun control, I am all for ending these senseless killings.
Drugs are killing more of our innocent youth, alcohol which is legal kills too many people every year...And the one that no one talks about is obesity and the countries obsession with fast food...
I used to think it was a stupid argument..Ban guns, its easy ..Stop the killings...No its not that easy..
I don't doubt that your friend is a great guy, and a responsible gun owner.
Now, imagine we take all his guns away. Maybe let him keep a hunting rifle or two for his hobby. He will be personally offended, yes. But will it actually affect his quality of life in the long run? Maybe a little, but I doubt it.
Basically, I'm fine with the responsible gun owners getting the short end of the stick here if it means saving thousands of lives across the country over the long run. He'll say it's not fair, and maybe he's right, but I just don't care, and the government shouldn't either.
You are the one they bring to the final 3 because they want someone they know they can beat.

I have played a clean game, going up against the juggernaut that is Dale. He is a formidable opponent as Jay is as well. Jay and I are pretty close in points(not in plus minus)even though my players this year have performed under expected value.
Having said that I have run pretty well on Tuesday nights, having managed to survive this long. I will also add that I haven't used an immunity idol even once.
Since I am in a different time zone, 3000 miles away from most competitors, I have not had a chance to form alliances. I have run this game pretty much by myself. While I am not the most popular choice to win, this would mean a lot for my franchise. We have been ridiculed and made the butt of jokes for the better part of two decades. My love for this league and my love for the sport of fantasy is unmatched. I consider myself in the top 1 percent of all hockey fans in California, and I have been working extremely hard to grow the game here in this part of the United States. I have made some great strides in that field with my business Fresno Hockey Talk, which is now transforming into FHT Sports. I am humbled and overjoyed with the response that we have been getting for this in the Central Valley in California.
To my worthy and honorable opponents. It is pretty ironic that we are all similar in age, we are all devoted fathers and we all obviously love this great game of hockey. Dale is once again having a great season and deserves all the accolades. However with the accolades comes great financial success. He has already locked up some serious money for his team , maybe you will find it in your hearts to look elsewhere for this wonderful Tuesday night phenomenon that is Survivor.
I would also like to commend Jay for making it this far. While Dale was expected to be here in front of the jury as early as August, Jay and myself werent even in the conversation. While AHL heavyweights like Bob, Arp and others were favored to be here. In reality though Jay and I along with Dale picked off these guys one by one. We played this game like it was meant to be played..We outwitted, outplayed and outlasted everyone. While some competitors sat there and ran algorithms on what nights they would have goalies, we did this the proper way.
So I hope you find it in your heart to pick me , as I am the average man. The Mustangs dont employ flashy players like Connor McDavid, Sidney Crosby or Alexander Ovechkin. The Mustangs dont have Sean Couturier or John Tavares. As a matter of fact the Mustangs dont have anyone in the top 83 in NHL scoring. Let that sink in for a minute. Our top scorer James Neal is number 84 in the NHL. We come to play every night and we get the job done, with what little we have. We are the ultimate survivor team. We survive because we have to. We dont have any other options. This team deserves some sort of accolade this year. We are fighting tooth and nail to make the playoffs. It might not go our way, but you can be sure we will be fighting every night.
Thanks for listening, and when you are picking the winner, please put the Mustangs on the piece of paper.
How will the regular season schedule work with 5 teams playing each other?
Like, if teams A, B, C, D and E are in one division, on a Champions League night, you'll have A vs B, C vs D, and E with the night off?
Probably each division
game 1 -A vs B, C vs D. E off
game 2- A vs C, B vs E, D off
game 3- A vs D, C vs E, B off
game 4- A vs E, B vs D, C off
game 5- B vs C, D vs E, A off
game 6 -A vs B, C vs D. E off
game 7- A vs C, B vs E, D off
game 8- A vs D, C vs E, B off
game 9- A vs E, B vs D, C off
game 10- B vs C, D vs E, A off etc....
So basically it will take 25 10/11-AHL game nights to have each team play their 20 games.
An extra game for the inter-divisional play, plus 8 games for playoffs.
Looks like 34 AHL games will be needed to handle new Champions schedule, although scheduling the inter-division game while a team is on a bye night will cut it down to 33.

I like the divisions and I like the Champions League, even though I have run like crap since inception.
Why arent the rankings based solely on record..I realize power rankings, and stats are more accurate..But we dont give the Stanley Cup out to the team with the best Corsi...There should be luck and excitement involved a little bit..IMO..
Looks like Daniel is fixing exactly that problem. While this initial year is based on +/- to get it started, but after that it is purely based on winning and losing. Winners move up a division, loser go down a division regardless of who has best +/-.
