  1. I have looked around at the official WSOP website, and the only satalites that I am seeing are those that are through the websites etc. Does anyone know how soon before the 2007 WSOP starts they will start running single table satalite events at the Rio?
  2. Fair reply actually. It can sound like a silly question. I was just wondering if people got their heart rate up before the sat down, like parking far out in the lot and walking in faster than a stroll, or eating certain foods that warmed them up. IE: at the casinos I play, I see a LOT of folks eating asian foods, but I thought it was just because they employ a lot of asians in the kitchen. Heck, maybe they are just eating the spicey stuff to stay warm. That sort of thing.
  3. Indeed. That cold air was kicking my butt pretty bad. I will try sitting closer to the big screen next time, maybe some of that mythical TV radiation will keep me warm.
  4. Thanks for your input. I had thought about asking them to turn up the heat, but figured they would just the computerized programing of the system to say no. I am in the Phoenix area, and it is not uncommon for most places to have places freezing indoors, even when it is blazing hot outside. Seems odd carrying around a jacket even in the summer, just so you will not freeze when you go indoors. It is tough to adjust to, and I have only been here about 10 months. Funny you should add that about the wfie tho....did you meet my fiance? LOL I have put off marrying her for nearly 10 years now, s
  5. Quick question for you folks. Some poker rooms that I play in are much colder than others. I am not talking cold as in the play, I am talking honest to goodness cold air. Now, I know that is to keep people awake and gambling, but I am talking freezing here. The problem is, when I get cold I tend to shiver, much the same as when you get an adrenaline rush. To top that off, when I do get the adrenaline on top of it, I sometimes kick into full blown shakes almost, and it looks like I am very nervous, when I am not. Now, I have thought how this can play in my favor, and against me. Honestly
  6. Not shaking hands may not change much. While I agree it can certainly create problems, a larger consideration those is all the cards and chips that are being handled by all those people in a card room, especially in a situation where there are SOO many people that do not bother to wash their hands after going to the restroom etc. This is made even worse, by my understanding, the toilet situation that has been established this year at the WSOP.
  7. Does anyone know what provisions are being made for the additional restroom facilities for this years main event? There was mention in a recent Card Player Magazine that there would be some additional restrooms set up. The reason I ask is that I would hate to think that a place a large as the Rio would have to set up port-o-lets just outside the doors. That would seem VERY below what someone involved in an indoor event as prestegious as this one should have to endure.
