I don't know if there is already a topic posted on this, but I just read it in CardPlayer. I wonder if the big game from the Bellagio is going to migrate over there with him, or whether he is willing to not play in it ever again.

Daniel's commentary on the Ultimate Poker Challenge
Potato replied to Potato's topic in General Poker Forum
Yeah he does, but he is pretty entertaining.I liked it when after two players made some "amatuer" moves he said something like:"Man, I would be in real trouble if these two were at my table, because I would have no idea what they are doing." -
Funny story. Last night a group of us were watching the Ultimate Poker Challenge on TV and Daniel was doing the commentary. One of my friends whose nickname is "Four Racks" was playing. Anyways someone got the nickname wrong and Daniel kept calling him "Three Racks". He must have called him that at least 4 or 5 times during the show. It was pretty hilarious to us. We were all popping off sarcastic comments like; "Well at least he didn't call you no racks" "Lets face it, assuming you start at the table with 1 rack, tripling up is nothing to be embarrassed of" Good times.

Are you playing limit or no-limit?If you playing no-limit, make a pot size bet on the flop. Slow down if the flush comes. If you are playing limit you have to bet/raise as much as you can on the flop. Depending on the pot size and how many players call, it is often correct for your opponents to chase the flush down.

That sounds like a lot of fun to watch. Is that the biggest game on the net?Are either one well known players?

Ok I was dealt AA under the gun in a 50-NL game. I raise 4x the big blind. The button reraises me and I put him all in. He calls. He flips up 1010. The flop is A1010. The turn and river are K and K. I lost.Question 1: Should I have thrown more chips into the pot on the turn or the river in the hopes of my opponent reaching into his pocket to get more money to call my raise or should I have put him on 1010 and not tried to cheat?Question 2: If I decide to cheat and get caught, should I pretend that I am drunk and don't understand what is going on?Any constructive criticism would be much appr

Someone posted awhile ago about having some old wsop dvds.....can you get in touch with me? I would be interested in gettin a copy if I can.

sure the k will beat the 6 most of the time...but you didn't know he had a 6 did you? I don't mind your 3 bet against a maniac preflop, I question the cap on the turn when the board pairs. All you have is TPMK .....there are still quite a few hands that beat you and the pot alrady has 16 small bets..if you check/call the turn and river you will have 4 more big bets.....not too bad a pot to win. you still lose but if you had slowed down it might be the KY you are looking for. you check/called the river right? there is no way you can raise or cap when the board pairs again.i understand the i

I think the ultimate answer to this is a heads up nl match between Smash and Charlie. It is quick, easy, and I would personally love to watch it.

losing your whole stack with top pair in nl heads up
Potato replied to Potato's topic in General Strategy
Thanks for your responses Knowledge and Copernicus.Coper: So you check top pair on the flop in this situation? You might be on to something here, because there really aren't any typical draws you would be afraid of him catching. I have also noticed that when I check, it is less likely that the other guy will make huge bets at me. He thinks he is way ahead and wants to keep me around. This is especially true if I have made some slow plays recently and he is scared of me trapping.Conversely if you bet big and they have a monster (2 pair or set) they aren't as worried about keeping you around -
Suppose you are playing 6 handed NL (.5-1.00) live. You know nothing about your opponents. You have $45 and are on the small blind with AK. Two limpers and you raise to $5, big blind calls, limpers folds. So thereis $12 in the pot and you have $40. The flop is K73 rainbow. I thinkmost people believe in betting the pot in this situation, so you put out $12and the bb calls. Now there is $36 in the pot and you have $28. Theturn is a 10 do you go all in? Bet a smaller amount? or check? Ifyou check and he goes all in do you call? My thinking is that he hasto have something to call both t
