Regarding question number 2. I read the question as such: A rock under the gun raises (first warning bell). A solid player to act next re-raises (maybe just an isolation bet but nevertheless his hand will almost always beat ace high) and more troubling of all the action so far is a "solid" player cold calling! It's funny to me how most people automatically think of Annie Duke as the best female poker player. I don't think there is any doubt that Jennifer Harman is one of the best all around cash game/tournament players in the world. Annie Duke just benefits from having a famous brother, a good name, and ragin' hormones which cause her to cry at random times, which is always good for TV, which is the only reason why she was invited to the TOC!

As a student at WAZZU, I frequently try to make it up to Spokane for some poker action. On a recent visit to Northern Qwest, I was seated in the 3/6 game across the table from Turiaf. I think it was Mike D. in Rounders who said something to the effect that nice guys don't make good poker players. Well, Turiaf was a real sweetheart! Maybe it was all the girls coming up to him talking to him throwing his game off...just stick to basketball Ronnie.

I was recently looking online at a promotion for a "step" tournament. The tournaments where if you place well enough in a sit and go, you earn a freeroll into a higher "step". Just wondering what you guys thought of those types of tournaments before I try it. I unfortunately signed up for full tilt after blowing my load thinking about a 100% bonus before realizing I needed to read the fine print more carefully. So before I do something stupid again, like these step tournaments, just wanted to see what the consensus is on them.Thanks!
