I think it might be a good move on Daniel's part. I play on Full ;tilt regularly and think it is a great site. With the exception of some minor things like no hand history or long term statistics yet. Overall the game play is good and they have plastered themselves eveywhere. Go for it Dan!!! -
I am considering entering a tournament at a local riverboat here in the midwest. But before I do, I would like some feed back on the buyin. The buy in, relatively cheap $10+5 (500 starting chips), confuses me a bit. I know what the buy in and fee are, there are bebuys in the first three rounds of $5 each gets you 300 chips (if you get under 500 chips). Then there is a bonus rebuy of $10 gets you 900 chips. Pay outs are top 5 for less than 50 players and top10 for 51+ (not sure what the percentages will be). My question is, do I just make the orignal buy in do I plan for the rebuys also?

I was in a 6+1 SnG on Party Poker and got busted out on this hand. My question is, after you have seen the way the hand developes, should I have represented the set on the turn when my opponent checked? I'm in the BB on the short stack with an 82 off. Everyone folds to the sb who simply calls. First off I would not normally play this hand from any postion, but on occasion if I can see a cheap flop why not. I check. The flop comes A A 5 . sb checks, I check. Turn comes 4 . No apparent help to either of us. sb checks, I check. River 8 sb bets 100, I come over the top all in hoping t

I feel you r pain Brother. I have been playing about a year or so, but only decided to take the real money plunge at the first of the year. I started with a bankroll of $200.00 and played at the .50/1.00 tables. The frist few days were great. I managed to book a few wins, but latey it seems no matter what I do I can't seem to catch the cards. Or when I do get good cards someone maganges to outdraw me everytime for most of my chips. Even when I tighten up it still seems to kick me in the teeth. I would like to think I can play, but it seems no matter what I do I lose. I know the game ha

Forgive me if this topic has been posted before, but I was curious to know what I should buy in for in ring games. For instance, I've been playing at Party Poker on the .50/$1 ring table. The buy started at $25.00, ao I buy in for that, but I noticed I could use my whole bankroll. Not sure I want to use the whole thing, but I would like to know what the average buy in should be. Any help would be appreciated.

I was playing a home game last year and the same thing happened to me. I had the A high flush with a Q in my hand. The other guy held the J. They split the pot. It wasn't until learning the game more that I realized I should have taken the pot down.

I too enjoy Howard's analysis. He brings an intellegence to commetary. I enjoy Norm and Mike too. Give Howard some time to learn the job of commentating. Not every one is a natural.
