  1. Since you say that both players would likely fold if they missed the flop, you might have waited until the flop to push all-in. This way, if the flop came with overcards you could have pushed out the pocket 7s. Just a thought.
  2. The short answer to your question-- yes, I've done things like that more often than I care to admit.The slightly (ok, much) longer answer:I am thinking of writing a book on poker. Sometimes it's the result of frustration, or a lack of concentration, or simple fatigue or carelessness. In cash game play, stupid play has probably costs me one solid BB/ hr.
