Mike,Those small towns outside of Nashville where you go to visit your relative's trailer, or whoever's trailer that happens to be, isn't actually Nashville. IF you have ever been to Nashville, you would be hard-pressed to find any trailers in the Davidson County area. I haven't seen one. There are no trailer parks in Brentwood, TN...an upscale suburb of Nashville, where Chris built his new pad. Every post I see you make contains some of the following:1. Offbeat/offtopic comment that doesn't relate/contribute to the thread, but does berate someone's comments on the topic in some pseudo-in -

After speaking with a disheartened Mr. Moneymaker at his massive mansion in the suburbs of Nashville, I came away with a genuine feeling of sympathy. Moneymaker read this thread and contacted me saying that he had a 9mm pistol to his head and was ready to pull the trigger. He stated that he could no longer go on prancing around the world, playing in high-stakes poker tournaments, frolicking in Vegas with Playboy bunnies, retreating to his mansion with a pool fit for royalty, while at the same time having to deal with the massive amount of "hating" going on at Full Contact Poker. It was just -
Good to see a fellow Nashvillian lurking the forums here. I just wanted to let you know that you don't have to go to Atlantic City or Tunica for live action. If you are interested, I would be glad to introduce you to a few of your friendly neighborhood Nashville poker rooms. 1/2 No-Limit is the game of choice in most of these rooms, but you can find 5/10, 10/20, and 15/30 limit. Email me...dominatingdink@hotmail.com if you would like some more info DNA.-DD

Jimmy,I have been to Tunica on numerous occasions and have yet to have a losing trip.I would recommend playing the 1/2 NL cash games at the Hollywood Casino. It may not be the premier casino, but it's 1/2 NL game is the loosest you will find. It is not uncommon to find the standard raise pre-flop in that game to be between 15 or 20 bucks. If you are tight-aggressive, you should destroy this game. The 1/2 NL game at the Gold Strike is extremely tight. I would recommend this game if you are loose-aggressive. They do, however, run a good tournament on either Thursday or Friday at 5 or 6pm.

I'm in Tennessee, too. Nashville area. Where abouts are you?We have some excellent poker rooms and cash games in the area if you would like some info.-DD

1. It depends on a few things. Do you feel stronger in cash games as opposed to tournaments, or vice versa? What are the blinds in your No-limit game? When you say short-handed, are we talking about six players, four players? What do you expect to win in a typical session (in the NLHE home cash game)? Remember, you shouldn't change the game after one bad session. It is clear that you feel you have an advantage over these other inexperienced players. If you won every time, they would eventually stop playing with you. Mathematically, they are bound to win every so often. You don't need

online poker? rigged?....a few of many examples
dominatingdink replied to mmonte4's topic in General Poker Forum
Last night on Full Tilt, I was playing 10/20 NL with Phil Ivey, Mike Matusow, and thedonator among others. I'm in the small blind with KK. thedonator raises UTG to 55 and the person to his left calls quickly. I reraise and make it 200 flat. Both call. The flop comes down Jack-rag-rag, and I bet out $500 into the $620 dollar pot. thedonator moves me all in for the rest of my stack, the person to his left folds, and I quickly call (having only $150 left). He flips over AsJs for TPTK. Wouldn't you know it, the river card was a Jack and I lost a $2,000 pot. It must be rigged. There was n -
building a bank roll (b/r) ... post your story
dominatingdink replied to mikedshelton's topic in General Poker Forum
Most of the posts in this thread contain stories of winners because, like Matt Damon said in the movie Rounders, you never hear about the ones who take their shot and lose. So I figured I would post my story about how I took my shot, and initially won against the best, but like most will assume, eventually busted out.Two months ago I deposited $200 dollars onto Full Tilt. I started in the .50/1 NL games and destroyed them with a loose-aggressive style. I quickly moved up to 1/2 NL, had moderate success in those games. I entered a few $20 + $2 tournaments on Full Tilt and had a couple of br -
We have an excellent dealer in our area. The guy kind of reminds me of George Carlin, doesn't really look like him, but sounds like him and has a compatible sense of humor. He's absolutely hilarious. A good dealer should always be respectful of players, even when the players aren't respectful of them. He should have a good sense of humor, but also know when to shut up...similar to a caddy on the golf course. The worst thing a dealer can do, in my opinion, is to burn and turn before the last player has acted. -DD

I played there awhile back and cashed out, got a check from the "Jamaican Money Markets." I'm pretty sure they are located there to avoid any U.S. based infringement against online poker and to dodge taxes. Shady website, ring games suck, not recommended.-DD

I've sat with Phil Ivey, Erik Seidel, Layne Flack, John D'Agostino and Paul Wolfe. Out of the five, I've won the most money off of D'Agostino. Sat with Ivey in the big 25/50 NL game and left with a damaged bankroll and a new as*hole. Erik tried to bluff me out of a big pot in the 100/200 limit game...nice to catch a pro from time to time. But karma comes back around, and Layne caught me on a bluff I tried to put on Phil Ivey. In my opinion, he made a dumb call, but hey it worked, called my all-in reraise on Phil Ivey with pkt 2's. I took him later in the 100/200 Omaha Hi/Lo game though,

Like I said earlier, railbirds are starting to give a shi*tier name to poker than the show TILT itself. All you do is sit on here all day and discuss the lives of other poker players, like a bunch of little teenage girls sitting around giggling about their friend's new boyfriend. You criticize people's play, laugh at their misteps, and believe me when I say this, karma will come around and take a nice chunk out of whatever is left of your pathetic life.Railbirds are the lowest form of scum on the face of the planet, right down there with the sticky floors in some slimy adult bookstore.-DD

You railbirds are worse than TILT.-DD
