I don't disagree with you a bit Daniel...and I've never played at Binion's or the Rio. I can't comment on the atmosphere since I can't relate to it. Maybe the Bellagio events will become a step above the WSOP if they're already not. Nonetheless, the pros are still getting it done. Maybe they are getting lucky with 1500 in starting chips. No one says you have to play in those events. Where have you been in the $2500 or $5000 events? I certainly hope you do well in the 2nd half and am rooting for you every step of the way. You're one of the top players to have at an ESPN final table for

I found the blog quite interesting and think his words are a reaction to his mediocre play. In a year where the fields are huge and the amateurs are probably better than in past years, the pros are rising to the top this year. One pro who isn't rising to the top this year is Daniel Negreneau. I guarantee if his results were better through 20 events, this blog wouldn't be in existence. Daniel sure needs to step it up in the latter half of this year's WSOP.

You guys seem to think Absolute Poker is the only site with great tournament structure and starting chips. Anyone ever heard of Pokerstars?????? It's exactly the same.

Anyone think online poker is rigged after watching the entire series of the Poker Superstar Invitational? Gus Hansen outdrew everyone during the entire series or if he had AA someone had QQ. He took out all 7 people at the championship table...a feat which is almost unheard of. In other words, anyone doubting online poker and its validity, all you need to do is watch the rerun of the entire Poker Superstar Invitational.

I'm in the same boat justblaze. My streak has been going on for about 3 months. Like yourself, I documented my hands (heads up only) since I doubted if I was any good after winning 3K in a 6 month span prior to that. I posted a few times on here, and everyone just said i must suck. The documentation basically showed me I was getting outdrawn nearly every hand I was ahead and I would never outdraw anyone. Basically, I just started losing interest and quit since I really thought it couldn't go on for 3 months straight. I hardly was winning anything. It took me 6 months to lose a grand whe

I saw the professor and Gustav Hansen in the elevated room when I was there last summer. I think that's the room. -

UPDATE 5 MIN LATER:Now 2 for 13 when starting the hand ahead heads up all in. Flopped trips one hand and guy called to hit open ended straight draw on river. Then 2 hands later had AA cracked by K10s when a 2nd ten hit on the river. Just to give you an idea of what I'm going all in with. See post above as well. I'm not no math genius, but this is already deviating too far off course through 13 hands to be random. Try dealing with it for 2.5 months.I'm really horrible at NL hold em I guess like that player suggests. -

UPDATE:With tonight's session I'm now 2 for 11 all in heads up starting with the best hand since I started keeping track last night. Was beat with A7 vs 107 and AKs vs 106o. I recall those two tonight for sure.I'm 1 for 4 when starting the hand behind. The one hand I won, I was a 46% fav to win hand. -

Well considering it was low stakes limit hold em, no one was going to lay down AA. At times we were playing 11 handed.I love how everyone thinks they know it all on here. I certainly don't. I'm not even suggesting online is rigged. I'm suggesting 'action' flops are definitely prevelant more online than in the live game. It is something to be concerned with. Unfortunately for 3 months, I've been on the losing end of most of them even with the best starting hand.Call it an unlucky streak, call it what you want. I'm losing to some pretty bad players and that's disturbing when you start to -

lol...I get a kick out of some you guys who think you're the greatest players ever and can't lose. Personally, I could care less what you think about my play. I don't admit to being a great player, but merely a good player. Looking at my session last night for example, good players get their money in with the best hand 6 out of 8 times even though I lost all but 1. Not to mention losing flopping a flush and a straight. Poker isn't a game of how much you win or lose, it's a game of making good (correct) decisions. I'm making a lot of correct decisions vs bad decisions and have been losi -

I've been so disgusted with online the last 3 months. Bad beats & set ups for 3 months straight. I've been playing online for 1.5 yrs now and have lost a grand in the last 3 months playing low stakes. It took me 6 months to lose a grand my first 6 months when I had no clue how to play. There is something wrong with this picture. Luckily, I'm still running ahead but barely. It's not rigged, but I do question action flops. I've had an unusual amt of bad beats against me the last 3 months but even more noticeable are the set ups I've been on the losing end. My flush is losing to a highe -
You are absolutely right...those hands were coin flips. Besides, I can't recall a hand on tv where one guy flops trips and the other has a boat. We've seen poker on TV for 2 years now. Maybe we have, I had 2 of them within 15 min. I've played limited poker in the casino. I've probably seen 150 hands and the best hand I've been dealt is 1010. It wasn't all that common for middle pair to win a pot with 3 way action called down to the river. You never see that online with 3 way action called down to the river. OK once in a great while maybe. It just seems odd. I will say that out of t

I'm wondering if anyone has experienced this type of run online. I've been mentally fatigued from online poker the last 2 months due to an unusual number of bad beats on 4 different sites. A lot of ppl will say well maybe you're just not good enough. Here's a little history of my online play over 16 months. I'm still up overall. I've lost more the last 2 months then I did my first 6 months of playing when I had no clue what I was doing. Examples from just last night.I had KQ vs 77...flop QQ7I had QJ vs 88...flop QQ8I had 55 vs J6...flop J56...turn J...river 6This has been close to the no

I agree with you 100%. I wanted a call with 97o and a perfect flop for 1010 which is what i got. I'm not saying he was a bad player. My whole pt from the start was I'm losing way too much heads up preflop when I'm a 70%+ fav going into the flop. There is no way I'm winning that percentage...maybe 50% for 2 months. Deviation is too great in that sample of hands. There is something wrong with this picture. I have played some limit recently with some success, but the rivers still hit in the most crucial times to take my 2 pair or better down. A little more than they should it seems like.

Just a few hours after my post (see above). I was in the BB with 1010. SB limped in and I raised 3x to 600 he called. Flop 973 rainbow. He checked and I moved in. He calls with 97o. Why does this happen all the time? Did I play this hand wrong? This kind of stuff seems to be happening way more than the percentages dictate online. It just seems fishy. Even if the hand sample isn't large enough, it seems to be deviating way too far off course.
