Thanks for the info, FCP info.HOWEVER I WOULD STILL LIKE TO SEE AN OFFICIAL STATEMENT CONCERNING MAC COMPATABILITY. In another thread to which you never responded you were qouted by a poster as saying in a different un-named thread that there would be no Mac compatability at least at first. Please state something formally.I have some money here that right now is just sitting. I would love to leave it in anticipatiion of future play (and the nice bonus you've offered) but whats the point if I will not be able to play for the forseeable future and cant earn the bonus. Really, If I dont see an o

Windows only huh .... might as well remove all my funds from here as I wont be able to play - certainly not in time enough to earn the otherwise nice bonus for leaving funds here. Might as well just wait to see if they ever have mac compatability. Until then there's Full Tilt, now the ONLY place for US mac players. I would think having a bit of this otherwise overlooked market would be good for business, guess I am wrong.Skallagrim

OK - my congratulations to FCP for having the backbone to continue accepting US players and for finding a new network in order to do so. But there remains one question of particular importance to me: WILL THE NEW NETWORK HAVE A MAC COMPATIBLE DOWNLOAD?God, I hope so, as I really want to continue playing here.Skallagrim

EVERYONE SHOULD READ THIS LINK!!!!!Not because it explains what the law does to you the player, but because it reveals the basic thinking of the business people who create(d) the sites we amercians now play at. Its not that the the law is going to really be able to stop internet gambling, its that the law is going to drive most, if not all, of the reputable sites out of the US market BY THEIR CHOICE, not by rigging the banking system and the ISPs.Skallagrim

I posted this inthe first thread but it would seem useful here too:Seeing a lot of confusion and some clearly wrong conclusions in this thread, I thought I would try to help out. I do, in fact, have a law degree and have read the legislation and a good variety of commentary about it.The legality of playing poker online is not affected at all. I beleive Washignton state is the only state that prohibits online poker playing. I have heard the Hawaii, Louisiana and Utah also have laws that could be read to make playing online illegal. If you are not in one of these states then even if you continue

The final answer to my question, which i still cant believe no support person on this site or the other skins could answer, is this: If you have an old Mac that cant handle ( cause of RAM or CPU speed) the latest OS, keep running OS9 and Internet Explorer...you dont get the player notes and percentages of the new java version, but everything will still run as before. If you are using Mac OS10.1 GIVE UP .... nothing will make FCP run with that OS. If you are running OS10.2, I am not sure, but have been told that will still work with safari, though again with no percentages or notes. OS10.3 will

I was wondering if anyone has any advice to someone who often plays on an old Imac G3 using OS 10.1.5 and an opera browser. Until the latest "upgrade," FCP worked very good. Now I cannot get the Java to run. After loading, I get the update Java message - there is no java update though, unless you run the latest OS: 10.4. Then when I click continue playing - the Opera program crashes everytime after a few seconds.FCP works fine on my other Mac using OS 10.3.9 and does not crash after clicking continue playing. And please dont give me the advice "buy a new computer" unless you are willing to buy

I was in Vegas last January ... Most important advice is Definitely avoid conventions time. After that, I assume you dont have a player's account for any of the major casino groups or that is always where you get the best deal. After that just do some web searching for the best deal.As for specific hotels, your cheapest rates will be downtown, but expect only "comfort inn" style rooms and amenities - except for the Golden Nugget, which is really nice but you'll pay a good $80 more per night for that "nice." Also there is plenty of poker downtown: Nugget, Horsehoe, and Plaza. On the strip, th

Whether Poker is gambling or not depends upon the defeintion of "gambling."The defintion previously given, to wager upon an uncertain outcome, certainly makes much of poker "gambling" (sometimes you bet with the nuts). But that definition, as has been pointed out, would include a large number of activities, like stock market investing.Personally, I prefer the defintion of gambling that is part of my state's law : to risk something of value on an uncertain outcome, OVER WHICH THE PLAYER HAS NO CONTROL OR INFLUENCE.Thus when you and I bet on who will win the Super Bowl, we are gambliing, we do n

and I was just begining to like FCP....Seriously folks, no other poker site I know of even remotely requires this kind of ID for a withdrawal, and to require it once your CUMULATIVE withdrawals total a measly $200 is OUTRAGEOUS.Plus, I dont have utility bills in my name, I gues that means that I can never withdraw more than $200.I suspect this will have to change, maybe it was some hackers bad joke in the first place. No way do I see alot of people playing here once they realize that it is impossible to withdraw money without an exhausting effort, too many other sites will be happy to let you w
