  1. Lot's of very helpful information on the chiptalk site. That's where I got all my info. That and homepokertourney.Samples are key, and in the long run, rather inexpensive, as most of the times you can sell them to someone else who will be in the same place a few months from now.Viva la Faux Clay!Jesse
  2. Hey all.I have a problem. When I get a decent or payable hand, I seem to fixate on my own hand, and forget about looking if an opponent possibly has a better hand than me. Example include I am holding pocket 10's, and flop comes out 10,9,6. I am excited that I flopped a set, and top set to boot. My opponent might have a straight draw, flush draw, or already made it. I don't see it. Problem lies in that once I get my good cards, I block out my opponents in my excitement.Anyone else have any advice on how to focus at this time? Thanks in advance!Jesse
  3. I got 650 11.5 "dice" chips off Ebay for $65. US Poker was the vendor. I am very happy. As previously stated, they are slippery, which makes tall stacks fall all the time. And they have the little plastic "tag" on them from the injection mold. This catches the felt and makes them not slide as well. I knock these off every one I get, but it takes a while. Are the 13.5's that much nicer to use? Thanks!Jesse
  4. For pure singing, I would go with Rob Halford. What a voice. If you want a "lead singer", then DLR is numero uno. What a front man.
  5. Hey all.I have seen "All In" and "CardPlayer" . ARe there any other magazines worth reading? Does anyone have an opinion about either of these two? Thanks in advance!Jesse
  6. If he paid off his mortgage and owns 2 cars outright, that is hardly bankrupt. Heck, I'd enter tournaments just to get my mortgage paid off. Screw the cash. Its quite easy to blow that much cash. Most lottery winners spend it all in a matter of a few years. The smart thing to do is throw it all in the bank/investments. $2.5 million even at a paltry 5% return gets you $125,000 cash income without touching the original principal. Being an acconutant, Chris shoudl understand stuff like this. He could have paid his Dad the $600,000 over a few years and lived a comfy life. No DOnald Trump life
  7. Doing some quick online & Ebay searches, I got a 650 11.5 "dice" set off Ebay from US Poker for $65 shipped. Seemed like the best deal if you are not looking for the most primo chip. Spinetti's on Ebay looks real good too. Both companies have standard websites to buy from too. I get my set shipped tonite, so I will let you know how they came in.Thanks for everyone's help.
