  1. Actually Kessel will be playing the MInnesotsa Golden Gophers this year.Although he is likely already drafted in Daniel's league he is the projected #1 pick in the next NHL draft. He is kind of like the U.S. version of Sid Crosby.Peace,KennyBanya
  2. Let me preface this by saying I am not much of a Mike Matusow fan from what I have seen of him on TV poker and interviews, I do not know him personally. The term "spook" he is using is not a racial remark in my opinion. If you listen carefully he refers to Alan Cunningham as the biggest spook of the world series so far. He then goes on to refer to Ivey as a spook shortly after that. I think he may mean a really scary player, but I dont know that particular slang word.KKJeff, you did hear it right but I believe you took it out of context, because he does refer to a white guy as a spook in the
  3. I dont think people like Doyle,Chau, Ivey and Greenstein are favorites in Daniel's pool because they likely will not play that many events. I am not implying these are not great players. The first step in making your choices in Danny's pool is trying to find out which players are likely to play most or all events.Players that come to mind are Negreanu, Juanda, Fischman, Todd Brunson, Chris Ferguson, T.J.; guys that will play lots of events.New blood like David Williams and that "The Grinder" guy are intriguing choices too.The hardest part then becomes trying to get information on which players
  4. The Plaza runs tourneys at 12pm, 4pm, 8pm and midnight. Pretty muck every day. They do have a big tourney starting in mid -April this would likely change the daily tourney schedule. I think $60 with an optional $10 addon that every player takes. Rebuys as well. Structure is simlar to the Sahara structure mentioned in previous post.KennyBanya
  5. I am curious who owns some of the bigger poker sites, primarily Pokerstars, Ultimate Bet and Party Poker. We never hear about the people or companies behind these sites. Possibly the founders/owners live in the U.S. and wish to remain discreet. There must some interesting stories about fortunes made and lost. I also wonder if the owners are names we might recognize from the poker world. Also are the founders still the owners?I have the idea that a major gaming company (Iglobal maybe?) owns Party, but I have no idea about Pokerstars or UB.If anyone knows please tell. Thanks,KennyBanya
  6. Suited Up,I think the poster(rusmac31) is just trying to figure out when and how the WSOP sats worked last year because he is intersted in them for 2005. Last year should be somewhat of an indicator of how party will run their sats this year.It seems like a perfectly legit question to me. Go easy on the guy!
