I don't know if slowplaying your trips and calling his all in from SB with K10 makes you a tight solid player. Anyway, when it comes to being four-handed and blinds being that big it doesn't even matter what you think people picture you as. Yeah, you can go all in on the turn--you still might get called by the way. But the bet on the river after you checked the turn spells weakness in anyone's eyes. Good job getting that deep in a tourny though.

No don't reraise the flop against this player. He obviously has something good. And you don't have implied odds to call. The next 50 times you make that call in the same situation a queen's not going to hit and you just don't know if he has aces or kings.

I'm wondering why you don't recommend raising w/ KQ on the button. It seems like a strong hand against limpers and a good way to get some of the limpers out. Even if called the likely hands that will call him will be something like KJ or K10. And I'd think you'd want to build a pot with this hand. With regard to the call. You should know the player. If the player hasn't pulled a check-raise like this before I'd give him the benefit of the doubt. These kind of calls will make you some money in the short term if the player is bluffing but in the long-run I think you'll lose playing like that. Ju

Well, there are no NL cash games in Minnesota. The lowest limit game you can play is 2-4. You want to bring at least $50 to the table. Good luck but if you don't catch some cards you're going to lose your money. Almost everybody's going to call you down at that level. Have fun.

This is an automatic call. For so many reasons. You want the best reason, yeah it's because you have half your stack in there. If you're not willing to lose 30 bucks you should not be playing. The money has to really mean nothing to you. And 30 bucks is nothing. Second, I have no idea why he would be $6. He could have the nuts, he could have nothing or he could have a set. Who knows? Maybe you had some kind of read on him. But he could make that move for a lot of reasons, thought you were weak, on a draw, bluffing. This info only you can know. You bluff the flop and turn. You finally hit top pair on the river and check. Sounds amateur to me. You shouldn't be worried about throwing top pair away after a raise nor is an opponent likely to bet the river with with a marginal hand after you've lead out against him. But you know your opponent better than I do.

In a cheap tournament like this and where people are bound to make those type of all in raises with less than kings or aces. You have to get lucky anyway, why not try to double up early and gain some control. The only person I'd really be worried about is UTG but because he only has 600 chips (and that's probably why botton is raising all in) I'd make this call more often than not.

I had aces with one . SB has king 3. MP1 had pocket 7's. I didn't care to check what MP2 had.

1/2 with a few limpers I raise to ten. I get three callers.Flop: 3 3 7 SB bets $22 after thinking for a while, I call. MP1 min-raises to $44. MP2 calls. SB goes all in for $65 more. I fold. No. You just have a pair of aces. If you bet he most likely wouldn't have called you anyway. He could have had queen-jack but you should be able to tell by looking at him if he has a hand. Ask yourself why does he keep check-calling. As it turned out in this case the answer was obvious. If you're unsure, just play it safe. Next time, you bet on the river you'll get reraised and find out he made two pair or a set. You have less likelihood of gaining than you do losing. You played it great.

In this situation I'd think he has kings or queens, maybe aces based on what you said about the player. When the ace comes, if he has kings or queens by checking the ace will scare him and he'll check. So you'll get no more money. I think a good bet is $30. That's something he'll call. When he goes all in when you bet $50 that's just something you have to pay off. Even if you bet $30 and he did that I think you have to pay off. Otherwise, it is an incredible laydown.
