Oh the irony...I guess a well reasoned argument followed with an observation about some members of this forum is well too much for some...Enough. I think I will go back to lurking here and posting on 2+2 as it seems you guys are too cool for me and I obviously have nothing to contribute.huh?you realize i was emphasizing/praising your post by quoting it?i just took out the parts that weren't really applicable/relevant.what exactly are you mad about?aseemI guess I didn't realize and thought you were being "clever", using my post against me. Sorry man. Long day in the sun.I have lurked too long a

What he said.MM may not be a great player/genius but he is competent and is the primary reason imho for the boom we are all profiting from. I feel genuinely bad for the guy that he gets so little respect. He got into the ME on a 40 sat with presumably a huge field, and then goes on to win the whole thing. He is obviously not in the same league as DN or Sammy Farha for that matter, but he can play and has more big buy-in experience than most of the people here I imagine.

Geez the guy was on the SB, no one else is in the pot asnd he makes a move trying to pick up the blinds and antes. His cards are most likely live if called (which he didn't want of course) and it was unfortunate the BB had a hand he could call with. Have any of you actually played in a tourney?Stealing every chance you get is a absolute must if you want to keep your head above water. MM wanted to steal, not showdown, and figured this was probably the best chance he was going to get this round unless he picked up a hand.As for me, I have made two final tables in the last two days, came in 4th

The guy you quoted as saying he wanted to play the stud event but needed to learn the rules first, entered, and WON THE EVENT. Hmmm. He sucks.

This site is "not ready for primetime" apparently... -
Stolzmann has won the tourney and is now the youngest WPT winner.Great job considering the guys he faced and that he had less than 10% of the chips in play when they started the final 6!

John Stolzmann has won the tourney!!!Youngest winner in WPT history!

Daniel is out.He got crippled holding QQ against Stolzman with 7-10. Flop came with an 8 and 9 and the str8 got there. Daniel was crippled and got busted shortly thereafter.

Okay. You asked what situations I call in. Being the chip leader and the two all ins being small stacks is one of those situations ironically. Also of course if I am less than 3-4X BB as well. You make the comment that you make this call if you are "playing for first". At this point in the tourney you are trying to accumulate chips but not at the risk of your own survival. Of course if you wake up to a high PP then whatever but AJo??? I always play for first, however who wins is usually determined after the bubble except in strange tourneys where someone gets tripled up on the 1st hand and th

Your "read" was a lucky guess. At this point in the tourney there is no need to risk half your stack with a hand like AJo. Most of the time you are a dog here and have just crippled yourself if/when you lose. Not sure what you are trying to accomphlish here by posting this but I would take the advice of the others if you want to become a better player. The GAP concept is one of the most important aspects in poker theory and even if your lucky read seemingly justified your call, IMHO it was a bad decision. There are times to make this call but this wasn't one of them.

Its the guys who drink and smoke that really screw up the game. They always mess the deal up and forget to burn a crad or what have. Of course taking there money is that much easier. I am talking home games of courseI will play $20 S&G's for fun stoned online sometimes and do okay. Mostly cause I get paranoid and play super tight.

6 or less is considered shorthanded by most people.

Hi,I used to be mainly a tourney and S&G player and have been playing a little less than a year. I lost 500 bucks the first two months I was playing and then redoposited another $500 and worked that up to $2900 over 6 months. I then got the bright idea to play 20/40 limit. I won $4000 in two days of almost nonstop play and thought I was the greatest player in the world. The next day I lost all $4000 profit, went to the bathroom, puked, and then cashed out my bankroll which was back to $2900.I stopped playing for 1.5 months until Jan 1st. I redeposited $500 and entered the $10 reb
