  1. Regarding pros at the WSOP satellites...Yes many of them do go to them. They won't necessarily be at the smaller tournaments for the first few days. They will show up for the main ESPN covered event at the end. I live in New Orleans and rail birded for the semis and got into the filming of the final table. Pros spotted.. Howard Lederer, David Williams, Evelyn Ng, Andy Block, Antonio Esfandiari. I know there were others there that busted out earlier such as Doyle Brunson, John Juanda and a whole bunch of others. I just found out they're holding another one in Oct. in Biloxi that I plan to go ch
  2. This is technically off topic but since this thread is to Harry I am posting it here. I hope all is well with your family and friends with the bombings in London. My thoughts are with you and everyone else in the UK right now. Keep safe.
  3. I live in New Orleans so I was able to railbird for the WSOP event there a few weeks ago. I managed to get into the actual room where they were filming the final table to watch! ( SWEEEET! ) Anyway..there is no way you can go live!! To give you an idea about time. It started with 9 players at 2:00 and after about 5 1/2 hours they were only down to 6! (I left about that time.) I believe it finally ended around 11:30.As far as time delays are concerned it would be way too easy to find out what the other player is doing. About every hour or so they take a 10 minute break and everyone leaves so yo
  4. "Someday all this will be yours""What .. the curtains?"From Life of Brian:" You don't need a leader. You are all individuals"Crowd in unison:"YES we are all individuals!"The "Every Sperm" is sacred musical number from Meaning of Life.Honestly my most favorite MP stuff is from the show.(Wink , Wink, Nudge, Nudge doncha' know) Lumber jack song! SPAM..SPAM..SPAM..SPAM!For those who want a crash course in MP show I recommend the "Live from the Hollywood Bowl " movie. And I agree.. this is the coolest thread!
  5. Bill Maher said it best recently.. Why is it the most religious people are the ones who are the most afraid to die and meet God?We are such a screwed up society. We put animals to sleep constantly because we don't want them to suffer. But we don't allow humans the same . Yeah I could see all those religious protestors supporting me if I took my cat who could no longer function anymore and just lay him down in a bed and hook him to a machine . I'd be curious to find out how many of them have ACTUALLY WITNESSED someone with a feeding tube machine. I have ..let me tell you THAT is cruel. Honestly
  6. The buffet at Aladdin has lots of veggie options including some Indian food! The Burger Bar at Mandalay Place is great! You pick out the type of meat ( for your friend) or veggie burger options and add on whatever extras you want. They go from the regular stuff like onions, cheese etc to all sorts of exotic options. Trust me this is not a Burger King kind of place. I believe they even offer Kobe beef so that should have your friend running over there. Rainforest Cafe at MGM Grand also has veggie burgers, sandwiches , salads etc. Great breakfast too!At Desert Passage by the Aladdin is "Cheeseb
  7. LOL-- They're all great, my fave is #7.
  8. Decisions..decisions.. decisions. Tough call between Gus, Daniel & Layne ( he's definitely one of my favorite hotties too Theresa!!). Ended up going Gus. But you forgot Phil Laak!! The smart guy with the great sense of humor is always a turn on.Don't forget E-DOG!! Man .. this list could go on forever.
  9. Try some of the mixes like Near East couscous. Also can use good ol' hamburger helper just replace with the crumbles. To keep this from turning into the "full contact poker recipe club" (altho' that could be interesting )you may want to try to send me a PM. I haven't tried the PM on this forum yet so if you try to send one and have a problem just post to this link and let me know.I've been doing the veg thing for a while and trust me I am far from a gourmet cook. But I can give you some pointers.
  10. Beetle eggs? Yuck! Thanks bonobio I never knew this one. I'm trying to cut down on the chemmies in general .. but it is hard in our society unless you want to cook everything from scratch. Who has the time for that? There are a few brands that I find are better.. Newman's Own, Health is Wealth among others. Shydie... another easy idea .. take the fake "chicken" patties or nuggets , warm them up and put on a Ceasar salad ( make sure there are no anchovies in the dressing however if you are looking to cut out all animal byproducts)Learning to adapt old meal favorites to your new way of life is
  11. Yeah, I know goofy topic. But for those who are interested .. I spotted at my local Big Lots men's boxer shorts with various "Texas Hold 'Em" designs for $5.
  12. I'm veg not vegan but here's a few ideas. Some suggestions regarding the carb problem.. use whole wheat pasta and breads. I do mean the 100 % whole wheat not these goofy low carb mostly white flour things. Whole wheat pasta is ALOT more filling . As far as cooking is concerned things are alot easier than they used to be . All the stores carry veggie burgers , bacon, sausages etc that can just be thrown in the oven or microwave. Boca and Morningstar Farms are the most common. If you go to a place like Whole Foods you will be amazed at the selection you will find of veg options!Easy dinner idea:
  13. I would make an ideal AA candidate for Daniel because:1. I am a 41 year old pudgy woman so Lori won’t be jealous and worried that Daniel will hit on me2. Daniel doesn’t have to worry about me not coming in to work because I was out all night partying with the “Bad Boys of Poker”(See #1)3. I am able to move since I am single with no kids (See.. Oh you get the point )4. I am a fellow vegetarian so I understand the intricacies of acceptable meals. Ex: Picking the pepperoni off a pizza does not magically make it a cheese pizza.5. I make a mean vegetarian chili when Mommy is unable to cook.6. Tofu
  14. On a philosphical note:"Whenever you feel frustrated, welcome it. You're about to learn something"On the lighter side:"Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons.. for you are crunchy and good with ketchup"
